Synopsis:
Based on a Japanese urban legend, Carved tells the story of the Kuchisake-onna (slit-mouthed woman), who possesses single mothers and kidnaps young children, holding them at her abode, where they are subject to severe and terrifying ordeals. A school teacher, Noboru Matsuzaki, believes his physically abusive and long-deceased mother could be the "slit-mouthed woman", that has been kidnapping children. A fellow schoolteacher witnesses an abduction of a young child and joins Noboru in seeking out the missing children.
