Your Opinions and Comments
What a hilarious movie. Considering the fact it is a crazy parody, it`s an excellent one.
The movie includes references (subtle or not-so-subtle) to "The Exorcist" (one of the funniest scenes in the movie), "The Haunting" (the house where most of the story happens), "The Weakest Link" (the excellent BBC TV game show), "Final Destination" (mind the bus), "The Matrix", "Hannibal", "Charlie`s Angels", "Twister" ("...we`ve got cows..."), "What Lies Beneath" (bath scene), "Pearl Harbor" (cat bomber) and "Hollow Man". In a very peculiar way, all the references really work and most of them are truly funny.
The video transfer is very good. There are no compression signs and the colors look very well saturated. The various special effects are nice (in a spoofy kind of a way).
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is very good. The surrounds are frequently used for the special sound effects, mostly during the scenes inside the house.
The menus are still with music.
The extras include a behind the scenes look, explanations about the special effects and make-up, 13 (!!!) deleted scenes (some very funny) and 9 alternate scenes (including alternate endings).
Bottom line - it`s rude, it`s dumb, it makes no sense at all, but it is SO cool, especially to horror fans.
