Synopsis:
The Hunchback Of Notre Dame is a thrilling, heartwarming tale full of incredible action, hilarious comedy and charming songs! Inspired by Victor Hugo`s classic novel, Disney brings the heroic adventures of Quasimodo, the gentle and lonely bell ringer of Notre Dame, to spectacular life.
At the urging of his hilarious gargoyle pals, Quasimodo defies his evil guardian and ventures from his tower to the joyous Festival of Fools in the city streets below. But when the crowd turns on him because of the way he looks, he is rescued by another outcast, the beautiful gypsy Esmerelda. Now Quasi finds himself struggling in two battles: to save the city he loves from destruction, meanwhile compelling others to see people for who and what they really are, not just for how they appear.
The Hunchback Of Notre Dame is a joy to hear and a wonder to behold, full of heroes, villains, comedy, suspense and music that will enthrall your senses and warm your heart... no matter who you are!

Your Opinions and Comments
The movie tells the well known story of Quasimodo. While the story itself is ok, there are way too many songs in the movie, which makes it look (and sound) like a musical. Plus, the movie is a bit too violent for young children.
The video transfer is good. There are no compression signs and the CG animation is pretty impressive.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is ok. While the surrounds are not too active, the sound envelope is pretty good.
The disk includes 4 more dubbed soundtracks - Spanish, Portuguese, Hebrew and Greek - all in DD 5.1.
As mentioned earlier on - the songs are truly annoying.
The menus are partially animated with sound.
The extras include a behind the scenes look, some storyboards, some history about Notre Dame, a deleted scene, a multilingual clip of the opening scene and an interactive sound game.
Bottom line - despite the good disk, if you ever miss a Disney movie, make sure this is it.
