Your Opinions and Comments
This movie, which (allegedly) deals with the war against terror was supposed to be released 3 weeks after September 11th, 2001, but due to the tragic circumstances of that dreadful day, the release date was postponed to February 2002. Still, the movie did quite poorly in theaters. I`m not surprised.
The video transfer is good. There are no compression signs and the colors are nicely saturated. However, the special effects department did not do that well. First of all, there`s the scenes with the CG that look pretty lame and then there`re all the explosions which are disproportional to the actual amount of explosives used to create them.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is ok. The surrounds are used quite often and do a good job. The sub is also quite active.
The menus are still with music.
The extras include a commentary by the director, 2 behind the scenes featurettes (with remarks regarding September 11th) and 6 deleted scenes.
Bottom line - a rather average Arnie movie with a decent disk.
The picture is quite good but there is quite a bit of grain and
the cgi wasnt really impressive. The sound was pretty good especially during action scenes.
Extras there is a making of, commentary, deleted scenes which all make interesting viewing. It is a fair amount of extras for an average movie.
I really dont think this is worth owning. Its not your typical action movie nor is it a politcal thriller. I think thats the major flaw, in that it lies somewhere in between these two genres, not really bringing out the best in either. Definetly worth a rental.
