Review of Hello Kitty`s Paradise
Introduction
This cat has no mouth and bears a family resemblance to Miffy. It has spawned many websites but I`ve never heard of it! I confess I don`t know which came first the cartoon or the merchandise. One thing is for certain I bet you all thought this was something other than a children`s DVD-somehow the title has certain connotations (and there are websites to prove it.)
The general theme of the simple stories that involve Miss Kitty and her sister are educational and moral which will amuse children on the younger side of seven.
Video
Good quality transfer of modern appealing images it comes over as clear and bright with many strong colours for young children.
Audio
Produced in Dolby stereo - fine for a children`s DVD. You won`t want them to crank up the speakers.
There are songs, which are unremarkable and verging on the bland.
Features
There are great claims to extras but they really don`t stand up to detailed scrutiny.
The quizzes are not interactive.
There are two songs - a repeat of the songs featured in the stories
Conclusion
Cute but weird in that Japanese to English sort of way. It won`t offend, but I could live without it. At 45 minutes a little short so strictly for the kitty lovers out there.
