Your Opinions and Comments
It combines the best of 3 worlds: classical music, jazz and rock.
Recorded at the Royal Albert hall in London, the concert is a delight to both the eye and the ear.
The video transfer is a full screen (4:3) one and is excellent. I do not know if the concert was shot with digital equipment or not, but it sure seems that way. The details level is incredible. On one occasion, you get s super close-up of a violin and you can actually see the scratches and the reflection of the lights on it. Incredible!
The audio is in DD 5.0 (no LFE) and has a great enveloping effect. The reverbs are set to accurate levels and you really feel as if you are in the Royal Albert hall.
My personal favorites on the disk are "Pictured within", "Wait a while" and the concerto.
Unfortunately, there are no extras on the disk at all.
I fully recommend this disk to whoever appreciates good music.
