Synopsis:
From boyhood, his gruff, bullying dad Michael (Donald Sutherland) and chilly, authoritarian mother Deidre (Barbara Bain) have groomed Alex to carry on the family business as a professional killer. But now the job and the double life are taking their toll on Alex and his devoted wife Martha (Tracey Ullman). So he goes into therapy with Dr Josh Parks (John Ritter) - and in Parks` waiting room encounters Sarah (Neve Campbell). Alex becomes obsessed with this sexually adventurous young woman. But as Michael discovers that Alex may have betrayed the family`s darkest secrets, both Sarah and Parks are in jeopardy as they pose a threat to Alex`s world of twisted family loyalties and carefully constructed deceit.
