RE: Wanted: WANTED: ARMY OF DARKNESS: 2 DISC LIMITED EDITION!

It would be easier to buy the Director`s Cut and the Theatrical release separately, it contains all the same material AFAIK.

RE: Army Of Darkness 2 discs

The 2-disc version is Out of Print and is VERY hard to get, if you have at least £80 burning a hole in your pocket you can go over to ebay and buy one. It would be easier to buy the single disc thetrical version and the Director`s Cut (also OOP, but can be got for cheaper) and you will have the same set.

RE: Bond Boxes For All!!!!

If you want a great DVD case try this one:

I`ve bought cases off this guy before and he is great, very reliable and the product is superb. In fact, for all I know he could be making the official case, I know he`s making them for Kevin Smith`s View Askew company. If you buy off him, mention my name :-)

RE: New Films- a bit dissapointing arent they?

>New films will always be dissapointing as EVERY possible storyline has been exhausted a long time ago.

Well, they say that there are only 26 (?) available storys for any medium available. I am more optimistic, Being John Malkovich was one of the most original ideas I have ever seen in a cinema.

As for the rest of this year, I`m really looking forward to (late this year or early 2002):
AI
Lord of the Rings
Ocean`s Eleven
The Score
Gangs of New York - this will be amazing!
Hopefully these should all be impressive.

I would actually really recommend Bridget Jones, I haven`t seen a comedy that funny for a while!

RE: Greatest chase scenes in a movie?

I would have to say the car chase from French Connection is the best for me - better than Bullitt. Gone in 60 seconds (recent version) is pretty good too. I heard the 1970`s version rocks as well.

Pod race was really good.

Foot chases: North by Northwest, and a movie called Run with Patrick Dempsey had a lot of suspense too.

RE: What is the best and worst extra(s) you have ever watched ?

The Jaws docu was very good, but it was a shame they cut half of it - the orignal was on LD.

RE: Drinks meet

I`m free all the time, being a student...which also means I won`t be bringing any money so I hope you guys won`t mind paying for all my drinks?

RE: Gladiator R1 on Sammy 709

I did the review of Snatch on a 709, and it was more than fine. Perhaps a faulty disc?

RE: enter the dragon

Yes, the Region 1 version is uncut.

RE: Abyss: Special Addition and Samsung 807

This is a well-known problem the 709 has with the seamless braching with the Abyss. Funnilt enough, ID4 plays OK (except the easter egss - but that`s another issue). Perhaps Samsung will fix this if the problem arises on a R2 disc.

RE: Wanted: Booklets for R1 Natural Born Killers & Being John Malkovich

As far as I know NBK doesn`t have a booklet...the chapters are on the back cover.
