Page 1 of Abyss: Special Addition and Samsung 807

Hi,
Does anyone have the problems I am suffering on the Abyss: Special Addition. The extras disc works fine, but the movie either skips tracks or repeats sections of the movie. This occurs all the way through the film and half way through the disc freezes and switche itself off. Has anyone with a Samsung 807 had the same problem? Could this be related to the firmware upgrade needed to get The Matrix running correctly. I have held back on getting this done as I fear it may disable the multi-region capabilities of the player. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I`m not sure they released a firmware upgrade for the 807, thought it was just for the 709 and 909. This is what is causing your problems however, my brother`s machine exhibits exactly the same issues.

This is also the reason a lot of x07 owners returned their machines when The Matrix came out for refunds.

This is a well-known problem the 709 has with the seamless braching with the Abyss. Funnilt enough, ID4 plays OK (except the easter egss - but that`s another issue). Perhaps Samsung will fix this if the problem arises on a R2 disc.
