problems with VCD sound on samsung SV-DVD1E

I have been having problems with the sound on VCDs I authore myself,
there is a clicking noise every 10 seconds. I capture the video with virtual dub as divx using the version 4.01 codec, then i use tmpeg to convert it into mpeg, i use the VCD template in tmpeg , if i use the SeVCD template it works fine on my pc but if i play it in my samsung the picture breaks up .The VCDS i make using the SeVCD template works fine on a Lasonic DVD player but not on my samsung. If i use the VCD pal template the picture is fine just problems with the sound.
I use nero to burn the VCDs and have tried several brands of CDR
Any ideas anyone

follow these instructions and it will work fine
Always perform a Cold Start before applying the hack below
1. Power on your player
2. Press and hold both the PLAY/PAUSE and FASTFORWARD buttons on the player
3. After a short while you should be presented with a set of language options. Release the PLAY/PAUSE and FASTFORWARD buttons on the player
4. You will now need to select a language option between 1 and 6
5. Press the SETUP button and then the REPEAT button on your remote control
6. Using your remote control enter the code below, note that you must know what Region your player is currently set to in order to know which code is appropriate,
for Region 1 use 2, 9, 3, 3 and 4
for Region 2 use 3, 8, 7, 6 and 7
for Region 3 use 5, 6, 7, 3 and 2
for Region 4 use 7, 6, 8, 8 and 4
for Region 5 use 5, 3, 8, 1 and 4
for Region 6 use 2, 4, 4, 6 and 2
7. A code should be displayed on the upper left corner of the screen indicating the current Region setting of your unit.
8. Press the 9 button on your remote control for Region free, or 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2 and so on.
9. Press the OPEN button on your player
10. Press the STANDBY button on your remote control

what is the best brand of cdr s to use in the Samsung SV-DVD1E ?
i have tried INFINITI , the picture is fine but there is a clicking sound every now and them , the cdr plays perfectly in my pc without any picture or sound problem. i think it is down the the DVD player not reading the cdr properly

does the SAMSUNG SV-DVD1E DVD-VHS COMBO play cd-r disks, as staff at one branch of dixons told me it will not , and staff at another branch of dixons told me it will, the dixons leaflet does not say it does, but the leaflet i got from kingstones says it does

NEW carry on dvds

just brought the new carry on dvds:- carry on screaming , carry on cowbow , carry on cruising and carry on cleo , none will play on my lasonic DVD 80500 , they all work ok on my PC
Anyone else have any problems with them
