RE: PS2 online

Hi guys,

Thanks for the info,a mate of mine sorted me out with a cheap router and i`mconnected and ready to go.

Now i have connected up to central station and registered my handle and password and was wondering how the f*** you connect to a game.I have socom 2 and basically selected the online option form the socom2 game menu and entered my playername/handle and password that i use on central station and tried to connect to the socom server. However i keep getting a message saying"player name not found.would you like to register this player name?"so i click yes and then it says"registration failure" and logs me out and returns me to the connect to socom 2 page that has your playername, password, hometown and gender info.

What am i doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help

PS2 online

Getting my ps2 online in the uk?
Need help from someone living in the UK who has BT broadband.

I`ve been thinking about getting a broadband adaptor for my ps2 so that obviously i can play stuff like socom online.
Anyway i was checking up on the net how this ps2 online stuff works and someone said that i have to buy a new modem from BT cos my current BT broadband adsl modem is not the right one for the ps2 online stuff at a cost of £75.....is this true?

Does anyone else have a bt broadband connection and has got there ps2 online who could give me some info.

Help needed with an unknown song?

I was watching the 300th episode of dream team last night on sky one and i heard a song that i really like but cannot remember who sings it.

Basically it was right at the end of the episode when the scouse guy(sorry but dont know his name) was talking to the door trying to get his girlfriend back who was off getting married in vegas with another guy.

Any help is much appreciated.Thanks

24: region 2

I just bought the excellent 24 series one on region 2 and remember people sending discs off for replacement. Can anyone tell me what the problem was with this set and whether the set i`ve just bought will be the same as everyone elses or whether Fox re-did the whole set.
Thanks
Jon

GTA3 PC VERSION HELP NEEDED????

I`ve basucally just started to use the cheats on the pc version of GTA 3 and have typed in the cheat "nobodylikesme" which is where all the other pedestrians dont like me and attack my character in the game.
The only problem is i cant seem to turn this cheat off and after a while it gets very annoying being battered by all the other characters....can anyone help me out here or somehow tell me how to deactivate the cheat.
many thanks

RE: Contacting Movietyme??

Hi,
I just noticed that you got a reply from the main guy at movietyme craig on the movietyme forum.Did you fill out a lost dvd form or not?
Just wondered as i`m a little p***ed of about their lack of customer service and wondered if i should fill out a lost dvd form.

RE: Contacting Movietyme??

Hi Diablo,
Funnily enough i have had the exact same problem as you.I pre-ordered Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown from movietyme in july and got an email from them on the 8th August saying that they had posted the dvds.
I waited for 2 weeks uintil deciding to email them about the missing dvds, waited a week still no response, decided to email them again last thursday and up to now have still not heard anything back from them.
I like you have recently started to use Movietyme after also getting sick of the french covers from play.com and up to now have ordered several dvds from them with no problem what so ever....i find it quite annoying that they have not responded to my(and yours) email requesting help.
Let me know if you get anywhere with filling out the lost dvds form thingy.

Does anyone know if the second season was ever released or if it will be released in the future.
Many thanks

RE: Broadband.Is it worth it?

Choagy:-
I had the same problems as u have now...I was on freeserve and got so p***ed of being disconnected that i decided have Bt broadband installed.I basically pay £30 a month but buy god is it worth the extra money...i never get disconnected and u can just basically leave it all the time.
At the moment i`m having a problem with it and have had to use my old 56k modem which is absolute torture compared to the speed of broadband i`m used to.

Thanks

RE: Mulholland Drive

I have the seen the film twice now and it has for me got better with each viewing,I personally thinks its in the top 3 of Lynchs best films along with Elephant Man and Blue Velvet.
Also for anyone who has seen the film check out the link below to a great article entitled eveything you wanted to know about Mulholland Drive.
WARNING DO NOT FOLLOW THE LINK IF YOU HAVN`T SEEN THE FILM AS IT CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS.http://www.salon.com/ent/movies/feature/2001/10/23/mulholland_drive_analysis/index.html

RE: Play.com

I most definitely recommend play.com,the amount of times i`ve received a region 1 dvd from them prior to the actual release date is amazing. They have a great policy of shipping out pre-orders as soon as they receive the discs rather than unlike some companies waiting for the actual release date.
Oh and i have only ever had to pay an import tax once when i ordered Die Hard Trilogy Boxset, maybe this was because the package was quite heavy.Anyway i order single films all the time from then and have never had a problem as such, disregarding this topic of course.

Play.com

First off i`d like to say that play.com is without a doubt the best online dvd supplier that I have ever used, however i was wondering whether anyone else is a little annoyed with the french writing alongside the english on the covers of the dvds.I know cos Play get canadian region 1 dvds that obviously some will have both languages on the covers because a lot of canadians speak french, but i recently received Spy Game and the french writing is as big as the english and to me this really gets on my nerves.Anyone else noticed this on their dvds.

RE: Major league?

It depends what version you want the film on.As far as i know it hasn`t been released on dvd, although i could be wrong on this.

As for the vhs version it has been deleted maybe to be released in the budget range in the future, this depends on who owns the rights.

However blackstar.co.uk will try and hunt down a copy for you but it costs £16.99 and there not guaranteed to find you a copy, but i`m told that they have a good success rate of finding old films.

Other than this i`d try a local second hand store that sells used vhs copies, again this depends where you live. Most major cities have a couple of these stores knocking about.

Hope this helps
Jon

RE: Kubrick Collection

As far as i know the region 1 Kubrick box set contained the same Dr strangelove version as ours, you can only get the features you mentioned on the standalone special editon released by columbia tri star.

I agree though i was dissapointed in the box set as well especially when i found out that the Shining was not the extended version,i`ve just ordered the region 1 version and am in the process of selling the region 2 one on e-bay.

Also the only version of Eyes wide shut that is edited is the region 1 version, our version is the one that Kubrick meant to have in the film.
