What players cannot play RCE discs?

Hi,

I was just about to order a DVD from play.com and they have a warning about it perhaps having RCE on it.

Does this actually stop some DVD players from reading it? I am using a Samsung N504 (euro) and would appreciate any info on compatability and/or RCE in general.

RE: Samsung DVD-N505??

I have the N504 (european sister model) and the Aiwa remote hack works (pres clock = shift random on an aiwa remote), although I couldn`t get the 5-digit code hack to work.

Not sure if it disables macrovision as i don`t record from DVD.

Samsung N504 hack found

It seems that the Aiwa remote control hack (press the clock - usually shift random button) works for my Swiss Samsung N504 (nuon enabled, euro sister of UK N505, US N501). More details here:

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe there`s a hack for this and for it to play CD-R and CD-RW because I can only get it to play DVD/CD?

NUON capable player prices?

I was wondering if anybody had any info on NUON capable DVD players?

I`m looking at the new Samsung DVD-N705 and am located in London.

Any ideas appreciated.
