Page 1 of What players cannot play RCE discs?

Hi,

I was just about to order a DVD from play.com and they have a warning about it perhaps having RCE on it.

Does this actually stop some DVD players from reading it? I am using a Samsung N504 (euro) and would appreciate any info on compatability and/or RCE in general.

Although most region hacked players can handle RCE(remote hacked Philips cannot)you may not need to panic.I think you will find that PLAY are labelling all Columbia releases as RCE,when this is not the case.My experience has shown that the major new releases will be RCE,but any back catalogue material is not.

I`m after Punch Drunk Love, which is a new release. I`ll give it a go and report back.
