I think an important point to note is that the Criterion release is in fact a R0 disc and therefore will play on R2 only players.

Therefore people with R2 only players, there is no need to wait for what is really an inferior release.

Its not just people that are waiting for Terminator 2 off this poxy outfit. I ordered Made on 22/01/03 (over 7 weeks ago) and have STILL not seen anything.

According to their website Made is still on offer for £6.49 with an expected delivery of 5-7 days. The only thing is, the site has been saying the same thing since I ordered in January.

I for one will never be using these jokers again.

PS- CD101, stop emailing me with your crappy clearance offers as you`ve obviously have not even got most the items in stock to clear anyway.

According to the writing on the back of my Rambo 4-disc (DTS) tin case (as recieved from DeepDiscount) there are subtitles, but only Spanish.

Having just recieved my Bargain 4 disc Rambo Triology (DTS) from Deepdiscountdvd.com (£16.67 inc P+P), I visited their website to hunt out more bargains.

At the moment they have:

Total Recall SE (R1) Tin @ £4.99
Glengarry Glen Ross SE (R1) @ £6.67
Stargate UE @ £7.17

P+P costs are £3.71

The only hitch is that Total Recall and Glengarry Glen Ross are not released at this price until 18th March (a bit like the Donnie Darko re-release price), and It does not state when Stargate UE is released.

Anyway seeming Im in no rush ordered Total Recall and Glengarry Glen Ross for approx £15.40 inc P+P.

Just stubled upon a website called www.FilmsFirst.net

They have numerous sales ranging from £6.99 to £9.99. Under the £6.99 sale they have the majority of the usual warner bros titles but also have titles such as Snatch, Gladiator and Mike Basset.

Also they have the Warner Bros Deluxe boxsets that usually retail for £49.99 for sale at £15.99. At the moment they`ve got Matrix, Perfect Storm, Clockwork Orange plus others. It also states that they will be adding to this list.

Anyway, personally picked up a copy of Things to do in Denver when your Dead for £7.99.

PS- P+P is also free !

Has anyone used this company before and are they reliable ?

RE: The Life of Brian - Criterion Version (Region 1)

Just a note for anybody who can only play region 2 titles, the Criterion release of Life of Brian is in fact Region 0 and happily plays on region 2 only players.

Dvd Vicar : to answer your question, there are no extras to mention of on the R2 release, whilst on the Criterion release there are 2 audio commentaries, deleted scenes, docomentary plus more. Also, and most importantly the picture on the Criterion release is 16:9 widescreen compared to the shoddy Pan & Scan R2.

Anyway, having had both releases I can highly recomend the quality of the Criterion package, and would recomend the purchase of it, for any concerning fan of the pythons.

Recieved mine from Amazon this morning, and Horray its in the tin box.
The packaging is pure class and is a good enough reason to by this set.

Anyway to answer Shoes question, Band of Brothers is excellent. It is a 10 part drama based on the D-Day landing and the subsequent events of an American Airbourne Division ending up with the capture of Hitlers Eagles Nest. It is filmed in a sort of Saving Private Ryan manner (if that makes sense), not surprising since Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks were executive producers with Hanks actually directing one part.

Just Go and Buy this Box Set, especially if you you can get the Tin packaging.

Where is the best place to get my Toshiba Player Chipped

My player (100-SE) only plays R2 titles and I desperately want to get it modified to play R1 titles.

Unfortunately this player can not be remotely hacked, therefore I need to get it chipped to be able to play the R1 titles.

Does anyone know the best place to get this player modified, and roughly how much this procedure will cost ?
