RE: My player cannot read dvd`s
If it plays CD Audio, Video CD and single layer dvd`s fine then it`s possibly your laser. Check that the discs that you are playing to see if they`re dual layered, usually that`s a tell tale sign that your laser may be on the way out.
You can try a dvd lens cleaner, they cost around £5. If you want your laser fised it could get costly. The unit isn`t that expensive, around £65-£80, but the labour charge will certainly kill off the machine! SO it`s probably time to think about an upgrade. The new generation Panasonics aint all that, try a Pioneer or something similar.
RE: CAN YOU TURN OFF MACROVISION ON A CYBERHOME ADL528
Apparently there is a hardware hack. Have a look on the cyberhome.de website forum. I can`t remeber exactly where I saw it on the forum, but there is a link. It might have been removed. If I find it I`ll post it here.

There`s no need to chip this one, there`s a better way without voiding the warranty. I have the factory ugrade kit!! No chips, no solder involved. As stable as any chip on the market!
RE: SONY HACK BY REMOTE ONE FOR ALL CONFIRMED
The code for the remote will never be released as it has more commercial value than anyone can imagine.
None of the remotes used, or seen in action are standard remote. Some clever bod has changed the pulse signal. Personally, I would love to know how it`s done.
