I have a dell laptop with a Philips CD RW DVD CD D5263 player can this be set to region free as I only have one more region change before it locks

Panasonic SA-HT 1500

I have just had the Panasonic SA-HT 1500 HDD / DVD home theatre system given to me I am still learning how to use it. Can any one tell me if this is a multi region DVD I know that Panasonic are usually not remote hackable but can you get (if necessary) a chipped remote. My son is travailing around the world for a year and will no doubt bring home several different region DVD`s. Just thought I would be ready

Thanks for your latest info. I have followed your instructions to the letter and I am glad to say it has worked. I have tried this hack before without success I think the reason for this was that I did not press eject button before the number 09 disappeared

I have removed the lid of my dvd and the info on the chip is as follows
dvd 511/xeu ver 4.04 sd 2000 .06 .09.
On the rear (outside) it sayes made in republic of Corea it also has US patent nos
Are you able to tell from this if the dvd is of US origin

If it is can you tell me where I can get a chip that will let me hack my player.

Samsung 511 can you hack firmware 4.04

I have tried to hack my Samsung 511 DVD with out any luck using the instructions found at the Sumsung firmware site, this hack was for firmware versions from 3.23 to 3.32A.The version in my player is 4.04 is there another hack needed for this version

I am haveing the same prob with my 511 so any help will be gerat. When you say change your firmware do you mean chip the player ie solder the 12c508 chip on to the mother board or is there an easy way

Hi Steve
I have a Samsung DVD 511 which act`s as you have described am I to assume that this DVD player cannot be converted to multi region by any means.
