About this user: Hiya. My name`s Steven Baxter and I live in a nice little village called Wilsden (It`s about 5 miles out of Bradford, which is a bugger `cause Bradford`s an absolute pit). I have a 28" Sony widescreen TV, a Samsung DVD511, a Yamaha RX-V420RDS DTS/5.1 amp & speakers and a couch that cuts off the heat from the radiator so as I write this my feet are freezing. I like sci-fi and Disney films. Oh, and Buffy - my girlfriend got me into it.

RE: DVDBoxOffice or DVDImport?
You could try Play247. That`s where my girlyfriend got my copy for Christmas. If you want to get it from one of the above, I`d go for BoxOffice - if you look at the retailer review forum for a while you`ll see alot of grumpy Gus`s with regards to DVDImport. Me being one of them. Useless gits.
RE: Could you please share your views of theses 3 films.
Ooops, sorry. Still, I could`ve saved some poor sod £18. Or just spoilt the film for some poor orphan children.
Again, sorry.

************SPOILER (added by Moderator, with eyes averted !)********
Does anyone else have a problem with the dodgy love triangle in Pearl Harbour? Everyone thinks bloke`s dead, best mate of said dead bloke gets off with dead best mate`s bird, dead mate comes back from the dead and finds out mate has made himself comfortable with his ex, mate of recently revived mate gets lass pregnant, gets killed and buried in garden of ex-dead mate who is now seeing girl and raising proper dead bloke`s child as his own? It`s utter s***. Really, don`t buy it. Moulin Rouge is meant to be great - I`m actually quite tempted even `tho I haven`t seen it, and Jurassic Park 3 just sucks ass.
As is pointed out above mind you, the attack sequence in Pearl Harbour is bloody impressive - but it`s not worth buying a DVD for 11 minutes of fun.

RE: DVDIMPORT and Jeepers Creepers
Yep. I ordered Swordfish, went back a few days later to check how it was going and there was no bloody sign of it. Sent them an e-mail and got one back asking me to tell them what film I had ordered. Did that, still no sign on my account page so I thought sod it. Came about three weeks later and they`d billed me the day I`d ordered it the swines. Don`t think I`ll bother with them again then. Hmph.
RE: Multi Region Hack Page (One for Robert John Shepherd)
You have a Hau - Hit bit, then Hj - whatever. It`s easy enough. Could get a bit long winded mind. I`ve thought about the numbers needing a bit of a re-think. Still, you have to be entirely grateful that site`s like this exist, otherwise we`d be buggered. Hey-ho.
Right, ho-ho-ho and a meeeeeeerry Christmas to everybody.
Stevie.
RE: anyone used vidshop?
My brother ordered a video about 8 months ago - it cost £20 and it was a copy. I`d go out on a limb and say their DVD`s might go along the same lines. Best bet is www.adultdvdboxoffice.com or www.adultdvdnow.com . I`ve used both (presents you understand) and they`re pretty much on par, but box office don`t charge for shipping.
Happy hunting.
RE: CyberHome AD-L528 (Black) 5.1Ch DVD Player Multi Reg - £89 +VAT
Aye, perhaps. Obviously I was a bit miffed at WHSmith, and I`m pretty sure I`ll never get owt from their site again, but you`ve got to look at the fact that not one but two player`s dropped in bits as soon as they were out of the box, so the jibe at CyberHome was perfectly justified. I`m glad yours is fine and dandy, but there`s more chance of platting p*** than me recommending them to anyone I`m afraid. Having said that, dad`s LG could blow up tomorrow.
Anyway, take care.
RE: CyberHome AD-L528 (Black) 5.1Ch DVD Player Multi Reg - £89 +VAT
They`re just not built to last. Our best lasted ooooh, about 4 seconds from de-boxing to drive bit dropping off. Now you see, there`s a story behind this....
My dad just got a £100 rebate from the Inland Revenue so he thought he might as well get a DVD player. A quick scan through WHSmith`s Christmas catalogue told us the above mentioned was indeed a neat and tidy £99.99, so I went on-line to buy one. First one came, and as soon as it was out of the box the front of the drive tray dropped off, and further inspection showed a bloody great big dent in the back. Smashing. Got a replacement, lo-and-behold same thing happens; bye bye tray front, there`s a dent in the bottom and the drawer won`t open at all. The dents are down to poor packaging - the way the player`s packed the prongs on the plug are facing in toward the back, so any pressure on it and it caves in. The other things are just down to CyberHome being s***e. Pfff. Dad and I agreed sod it and went to Curry`s and bought an LG which is rather spanky. So know you know.
Right, everyone have a happy Christmas. Pim pim.
