Ice Station by Matthew Reilly - what a corking action movie that would make!

RE: SPLASHDVD OUT OF BUSINESS
Not good! I am still awaiting 2 DVD bargains I ordered in Jan. I knew delivery with Splash would be slow, but NEVER is a tad too long to wait. Glad I only used these guys for bargains, feel sorry for anyone who had a lot of pre orders.

RE: How do i get my passport signed, please help?
Anyone who knows you with a recognised qualification can sign it? Surely, you must know someone who is educated to degree standard?

Jurassic Park almost made it on to the list.
RE: Maternity Leave/Second Job/Tax Impact - Advice Please
4. Your Child Benefit won`t be affected at all as it`s not means tested. Whereas, depending upon how much your wife earns from any part-time work, you may see a decrease in your Child Tax Credit. Probably best of heading to the Child Tax Credit Web site as, if I recall correctly, it has some sort of calculator.
RE: I Just Gotta Let Off Steam !!!!!!!!!!!
Way out of line on their part. It`s your honeymoon for Christ`s sake, not just another holiday! Surely they can arrange cover?
RE: TFT / LCD Monitors
Echoing the post above...response time is key if you want to play games or watch DVD`s without any noticeable ghosting. 20ms is fine, I have one with this response time and don`t regret the purchase one bit.
Taken - £24.99 on Amazon or £24.74 on Blockbuster
Originally ordered this from Blockbuster for £24.74, but its on back order so I ordered it from Amazon instead for £24.99. Added a book to take it over £25 so that delivery was free.

Do you leave your PC on all day?
Lads & Lasses,
Ever since I`ve owned a PC I have switched it on when I need to use it and off when I`ve finished what I`m doing. I`ve recently moved it downstairs and must turn it on/off around three or four times a day. Consequently I think of leaving it on all day, everyday. So my question is...what does everyone else do?

Die Hard Trilogy 3 Disc Set (R2): Pic & Sound quality - any good?
Hi,
Quick question gents...what`s the picture and sound quality like on the Die Hard Trilogy 3 Disc set (R2) that was released this week? I brought the originals individually when they first came out (i.e. not the special editions) and thought the pic/sound was cack. I don`t want to shell out the cash to find out I`m getting exactly what I`ve already got!
Thanks,
BJ

RE: Have just had a roasting from my manager
Out-of-interest what do you do?
RE: Girls Aloud on "only" £80 a day
Assuming that`s before tax it equates to about £30k a year. They must have to work there @rse off pretty much 7 days a week, so I don`t think they are overpaid.
I know there are plenty of people out there who work just as hard (if not harder than they do) and get paid far less....but the flip side is that there are also a lot of people out there who get paid far more a year and probably pull a 35 hour working week.
RE: So what movies HAVE you seen, that no-one else seems to have done
Salute of the Jugger - An absolute classic in my books!
RE: It`s Trivia Time ...
Hugo Weaving
Matrix Trilogy (Agent Smith)
Lord Of The Rings (Elrond)
However, he plays Elrond exactly the same as Agent Smith so I don`t know if this counts. :-)
RE: So if you work these hours (see post by Chewie) - what do you do??
Web Developer for an investment bank.
RE: What hours do you work?
I think he means 3,000 miles a week on the road.....I had to look twice though!
As for me....8:00am-5:30pm +1.25 hours either side communting, 5 days a week.
RE: That bloody news ticker ^
...or even better code it properly. ;-)
RE: Greg Rusedski the freeloader.....
It`s funny how people`s nationalities come into question when their not at the top of their game! However, if they become real contenders then those same rants pail into oblivion. Lennox Lewis anyone....?
RE: Whats the stupidest thing anybody has ever said???
A few years back one of my mates telephoned his friend at home to see if he was interested in a lads night out. After exchanging greetings he was heard saying "So where are you now then?".
It even took a few minutes for it to sink in when we explained to him that his friend must have been at home `cause that was the number he rung.
From that day on he was known as `Trigger`.

RE: Site Connection problems: Update
Finally I can get access to the site! Unlike the previous postings I can`t bring myself to give you guys a pat on the back as it took you far too long to resolve the problem.
:-(
RE: Names for a Baby boy
Here`s my humble opinion. I wouldn`t want to name my kid any name that is really popular at the moment. I love the name Jack, but it`s been No 1 for like 3 years - so personally I`d stay well clear. I wouldn`t want to go to school where half the kids in my class shared the same name.
Whatever you decide, do the kid a favour and choose a name that suits the kid as an adult as well as a baby.

RE: Interview time....
"May the force be with you" would probably be more than acceptable.

K-Pax, Monsters Ball & Novocane. All 3 for £5.50 (including P&P)!
Just ordered the above for £5.50 (including P&P) from DVD Rack ( http://www.dvd-rack.co.uk ) - a DVD rental and retail site.
It`s obviously a pricing error for K-Pax and Monsters Ball as the rental price and retail price are switched around. However, for some reason Novocane is listed as £0.00.
Never used the company before, but who knows they might not notice or still honour the deal.
Here`s hoping...

PS. Anyone used this compnay before?

RE: What are the best Gangster flics?
Billy Bathgate was pretty good.
Karate Kid Trilogy £16.99 @ Play
Play have re-badged some of their `Bargins` pages (again!). However, I did notice the Karate Kid Trilogy for £16.99 and thought it was a good offer.
