DVD-ROM to Mpeg converstion ?

I`ve been told it`s poss` to download software to my PC that will convert DVD to MPEG thus allowing me to copy a DVD-ROM on to CDR. Is this true and where could i find it ?

Phillips 710 question

if anyone has a phillips 710 and has used the hack on these pages, does it play your R1 DVD`s in black and white? and have you tried the NSTC/PAL switch on the back of the DVD player. My friend has one, but i haven`t tried it yet, but i think it will work, so if anyone could try it and let me know please.

Matsui 110 black and white problem, please help

i recently used the hack on this web site, and it worked, i then tested my only R1 title (stir of echos) and it will only play in black and white. I read that i might be able to use a "standards converter" Does anyone have any ideas as these cost around £60, if i`m correctly informed.
