Looks like these may be standard re-release prices, rather than a Sendit special offer?

RE: Recording "Listen again" programmes from BBC
could you elaborate on the "fannying around" a bit please?
Recording "Listen again" programmes from BBC
Is this possible?
I have Magix Webradio recorder, WM Recorder 9, XAudioTools Recorder,
but none of them seem able to do it.
Im trying to record some of the things from the BBC7 website to stick on my MP3 player, but its not as easy as I thouht it would be - any suggestions please??
RE: Tiscali Broadband Question
I got an email back saying "Checks needed to be performed - please ring Broadband Support..." - so having been kept on the line with 5 minutes of silence "Whilst I just bring up your information, Mr Cooper" [5 minutes??? Their broadband speed must be s*** too!!], he sorted it out and Im now showing 2.3Mbps..
God only knows what that phonecall cost though - £1 per minute or something?
RE: Tiscali Broadband Question
no - no router - just straight from the phone into the thingummybox and into the pc
RE: Tiscali Broadband Question
so that monitor icon in the corner, thats should be showing 2 Mbps?
Tiscali Broadband Question
I recently (4 weeks ago) upgraded from 1meg to 2meg with tiscali.
When I log into my account, it shows that I am indeed, subscribing to a 2meg service.
However, in the task bar in the bottom right hand corner of my screen, when I hover the mouse over the two monitors icon, it says Tiscali Broadband. Speed: 1.1Mbps.
Shouldnt it say 2Mbps?
Am I being ripped off, and if so can anyone tell me what I can do about it?

RE: Problem making snazzy DVDs from DVD+RW discs made on Mico...
no, havent tried that.
But then if the disc is dirty (which it doesnt look to be), how come the DVD plays fine on the pc with PowerDVD, yet the same pc and the same drive wont let any of the editing programs import the files????
RE: Problem making snazzy DVDs from DVD+RW discs made on Mico...
thanks - have just tried this.
Still getting error message when I try to import the video files to the hard drive.
This time its giving me "Cyclic redundancy" error messages.
Does this mean that the files on the DVD+RW are corrupted?
But if thats the case, how come the discs play fine back on the standalone player, and also in the PC using PowerDVD???
Problem making snazzy DVDs from DVD+RW discs made on Mico...
Hi,
Have transferred two tapes onto 2 DVD+RWs using the Mico Espejo.
The discs playback fine in the player, and indeed on the PC using PowerDVD.
I want to turn them into "proper" DVDs, (menus chapters etc), and I have either Cyberlink Power Producer, Nero Vision Exopress, or Ulead DVD Movie Factory to do this.
I seem to be having problems when I try to import the DVD files from the RW discs tho, soIm stumbling at the first hurdle.
Anyone any pointers? Or how would you best do it? The films are of loads of trailers, and the Mico has automatically added chapeters which are in the wrong places (I obvioulsy want the chapters at the start of each trailer)
Thanks in advance
RE: Tiscali Broadband Keeps disconnecting - help*
I cant understand why its only just started happening? Like only in the last month or so...
What p***es me off is that I pay for Tiscali for Broadband at my parents home (I have ntl at my house), and they hardly ever go on line, so for each monthly payment, it gets used for about 8 days if that. And when I come to use it, its sh*te!!
RE: Tiscali Broadband Keeps disconnecting - help*
How did you guess!!!
I swapped the modem for another one (same model) and the same thing keeps happening.
Any solutions, people???
Tiscali Broadband Keeps disconnecting - help*
It usually happens when I leave em*le running for any period of time. I lose the broadband connection and even when I then double click on Internet Explorer, nothing happens. I have to unplug the usb from the modem thingy, then replug it and the connection gets found again. This has only started happening recently.
I cant recall making any changes in IE:Tools:etc, but am I overlooking anything blatantly obvious?

RE: MP3 editing software
OK OK, now I`m probably being really stupid - but I just cant work out how to do what I want.
If I rip a CD to my hard drive, and it forms 10 different MP3 files, say.
How do I then use this software to "glue them all back together again" and make 1 big MP3 file containing all ten tracks?
please help! I can import them into the "timeline" at the top, but I cant work out how you stick them together!!
RE: MP3 editing software
oooooh - you star man!
thanks for that!!
MP3 editing software
Hiya,
Im looking for something very basic (and free!) that will stick together several MP3s into one big one.
Any clues? Ive found some that will split a large file into smaller ones, but not something that will put them back together again!

well, its not like its gonna bring him back, is it??
RE: The Pope has died
Attempting to mediate between the Arabs/Israelis.
Trying to bring the two warring factions in Mozambique to a peaceful agreement.
Praying at the Wailing Wall then in a Mosque to show that he favoured neither one nor the other faith but that he considered all faiths as an equal to his own.
Meeting survivors of the Holocaust at Yad Vashem in a gesture that was seen as his apology for the inaction of the catholic church during the holocaust and the alleged association with fleeing Nazi`s
So there lies the power of a guilty conscience, perhaps?
Bush and Blair do the odd good thing from time to time - hardly makes them Angels.....
RE: The Pope has died
furthermore, some of you seem to have neglected to read my original post which said
"as an old man nearing the end of his life, yes - a great shame.
As a Pope and what he stands for, .............."

Porl, given HIV affects a far greater percentage of hetrosexual people than homosexual, stop being lazy and playing the gay card. it doesn`t float.
Nah mate - that will be you getting my attack on the Pope`s stance on Condoms, AIDS in Africa and His Holiness`s Homophobia all combined and confused, matey.
I kept the three issues seperate - it`s you thats just combined them.
So now who`s being lazy?
Im saying that when teaching people about safe sex, the Vatican / Pope says, it is "a dangerous and immoral policy based on the deluded theory that the condom can provide adequate protection against AIDS." Sex education, "above all in relation to the spread of AIDS" is an "abuse".
In 1995, when a French bishop suggested that people infected with HIV should use condoms, the Pope promptly sacked him. The Vatican has previously used its seat at the UN General Assembly (where, preposterously, it has national status) to disrupt, yet again, the UN's family planning and AIDS prevention programmes.
In the 21st Century, the taking the above viewpoint in AIDS / HIV issues is an absolute discrace, and anyone - on this forum or anywhere else - who thinks otherwise should really wake up and smell the coffee.
A better way to mark his passing might be the indictment of John Paul II for the above crimes against humanity.
RE: The Pope has died
you ask me what`s that got to do with it????!!
If HIV issies had affected you ( in ANY way) believe me, you wouldnt have to ask me that question.
You`d change your view of a "wonderful man" to that of an ignorant bigot who forbids the use on condoms to prevent its spread. - 25 million sub Saharan, without taking into account South Africa which has one of the fastest expanding epidemics in the world.
you`d change your view of a "wonderful man" with narrow minded attitudes towards women (lets say for the sake of arguement, half the population)
you`d change your view of a man who condemns homosexuality ( I wont scare you with the number of us there are around - I`m not sure you could handle it)
add up all those people and what do you get? Well, foget it.. Cos in you`re eyes, they are probably all insignificant anyway................ :(
RE: The Pope has died
as an old man nearing the end of his life, yes - a great shame.
As a Pope and what he stands for, well, one less homophobe walking around can`t be a bad thing....
If he believes in reincarnation, maybe he`d like to try coming back as a young woman in Africa, and see what his stance on condoms would be then...
and while you`re all remembering the Pope, I hope you`re also sparing a few thoughts for the thousands that died at the same time, in pain and loneliness and without the luxuries surrounding "his holiness".....
