RE: BT Openworld broadband account holders - How to reduce the monthly fee

Do any Plusnet customers, play Everquest.

Am with Eclipse at the moment and keep on getting disconnected ........ Hmmmm. time for a change me thinks.

RE: DVD+R/RW +/- for £86 Inc VAT @ Dabs !

If Dabs terminology are the same as Jungle - White box means a customer return.

Found this out to my cost when I bought a CD R/RW, which didn`t work. When I returned it, Jungle claimed it worked and as it was a `previous customer return there would be a restocking fee of 60%`. When I complained saying that I had bought an OEM unit I was told that this is what the term ment.

Guess who never used Jungle again ?

Although I have used Dabs many times with no problems

RE: Monsters Inc - £13!!!!

RE: DVD Box Office Shipping Times

Re : But is it a bad disc or a bad pressing?

Eeeeer ........... How do you tell ?

The disc looks to be in good order visually ie no scratches or blemishes

All I can say is that it will not play the trailers or chapters at the late section of the film ( Have not looked to see if it will play all the film yet)

RE: DVD Box Office Shipping Times

AAAAAAAARRRRGGGHHHH

Tried to play the disc tonight and the trailers will not work or all the chapter selections.

Took the disc to a friends - listened to a 1/2 hour wind up on why my cheap and nasty Dansai could not compare to his Sony. Only to find that it doesn`t work on his either (the only bit of relief I`ve had tonight). Are you listening Mrs Vardre.

Just thought I`d let everyone know.
Maybe I`ll start a thread DVD Boxoffice Customer Care.

Off to sulk ;-}

RE: DVD Box Office Shipping Times

Recieved it today (R1 - The Cook the Thief his Wife and her Lover).
Date of shipping E-Mail - 3rd January
Date on Packing Slip - 5th January

Ho, Hum

Thanks again all ;-}

RE: DVD Box Office Shipping Times

Thanks everyone, I`ll just have to wait it out.

Just a note to say how useful I find this site -

Before being educated by you guys / gals, I used to think Asda was cheap.

Cheers.

DVD Box Office Shipping Times

A word from the wise is required.

I ordered a DVD from DVD Box Office that was shipped on the 3rd of this month. Can anyone rest my nerves as to days normally taken to receive said goods.

Please don`t turn this into a bash Consignia (Royal Mail) thread as I am a Postman and proud of it.

Cheers :-))

RE: <<<Does anyone like Curry???>>>

Lovely conversion but the food is cr^p - You`d have been better off in the Anakali opposite.

On the subject of curries - am off to Birmingham for the weekend on the 25th - Any recommendations for a decent curry would be appreciated. I am told that the Celebrity Suite on Broad St is good .....? ;-}

ps Appologies in advance for any spelling mistakes

RE: Extras, Extras & Extras

In my limited experience only Shrek & The Matrix had any worthwhile extras.

My Wife was gutted that there were no extras on the Chorlton & the Wheelies DVD

;))

RE: Tesco Bargains

Consider yourself lucky not to live in Swansea ......... Our local stores "Bargain Bucket" starts at £9.99.

Ho Hum :((

Will try the web site

RE: Where has forest gump gone?

We got fed-up with MVC.co.uk and phoned their customer helpline who were no use at all- we were told that we just had to be one of the lucky ones. SO we phoned our local MVC real shop, where they had Forest for £8.99 which we have now reserved over the phone. YIPEE. Collecting it tomorrow

(our local shop is 35 miles away but I`d rather pay the petrol than end up throwing my computer through the window)

R1 DVD help needed

Hi, I am a newbie to DVDs, and am looking for suggestions where to find

The Cook, The Thief, his Wife and her Lover - R1

Cheap - (hence this forum)

I know that it is due to be released on R4 discs, but sad I know, prefer the cover on the R1 disc.

Any recs would be very gratefully received .......... Happy New Year all
