Bargain Projection Alarm Clock!

Was in Boots in the Bullring this lunchtime. They were selling own brand bedside Radio Controlled Projection Alarm Clocks with Temperature function and batteries included marked down from £15 to £4!!!

Just needed one as my old ones gone bust. They had at least 5 or 6 left, on a shelf next to other discounted sale items. Hope this is of use to someone!

EDIT: SORRY GUYS! Just realised why these are so cheap.....After opening the box and reading the instructions, it appears that this clock does not come with a mains power adaptor, only batteries. The projection therefore cannot be set to be always on, only for 30mins after pushing a button! A TAD POINTLESS in that case!!! DONT BOTHER! ...saying that, £4 for a Radio controlled alarm cloock still aint bad! :p

RE: BARGAIN GARDEN SHREDDER!

Just an update on this one as was having another snoop round ALDI SELLY OAK, BIRMINGHAM today. They still have 17 of these shredders in stock!, if anyone is interested. 8)

RE: BARGAIN GARDEN SHREDDER!

It does not come with a bin/hopper. I find its best to use a cheap plastic tub or any bin liner/sack over the bottom of the chute.....A tub is preferable as you can see when it becomes full rather than clogging up the machine! Another poster in the DVD Forums said he picked this shredder up for £39.99 in his local ALDI store...AMAZING! I challenge ANYBODY to find a similar spec machine for cheaper!

BARGAIN GARDEN SHREDDER!

I was in ALDI today and found a 2400W Garden Shredder made by a company called Gardenline on sale from £69.99 to £49.99! It can shred any garden stuff up to 40mm and comes with a 2 year guarantee! Ive been looking for one of these for sometime and in fact Argos sells a similar spec. machine for £149.99!

I had to buy it. The instructions are somewhat confusing but I managed to assemble it without much problem...they supply all spanners, allan keys and screwdrivers for the job in the box!. It is very quiet too and did a reasonable job shredding whatever twigs i had to hand. The Selly Oak, Birmingham Store had at least 20 of these left and I really do recommend it as a great bargain to any gardeners out there...I have not been able to find one cheaper! :D

RE: 4.0 Megapixel Digital Camera at Argos £129.99

Just read this conclusion on Steve`s Digicam reviews:

..."The 4060 AF`s battery life was acceptable during our tests. Using a pair of AA NiMH 2200 mAh rechargeable batteries, we were able to capture over 100 images with the LCD on before a low battery warning occurred."

BUT HE ALSO SAID:

..."At an MSRP of $249.99, Concord is offering a questionable value in the Eye-Q 4060 AF. The high-resolution 4-megapixel imager can not overcome this camera`s poor focus, outdoor overexposure, and poor color balance. If you`re in the market for an entry-level camera under $250, your needs would be better served by a camera with lower resolution, but a better balance of image quality and features. Consider the recently-reviewed Canon A60, or the Sony Cyber-shot P32."

Make your own mind up! ;o)

RE: WHSmiths dvd sale list

Some prices are great, including when harry met sallya nd west side story at £4.99! HOWEVER, the £2.50 plus 50p per item delivery charge does hike the price up somewhat.

I have been told by WHS in Birmingham Union Street that these prices are ONLY available online?

RE: Harry Potter DVD - Very disappointing?

I too don`t know what so many of you expected from a kiddy-orientated film! I found the film was satisfyingly true to the original book and brought JKRs world to life. The cast was chosen extremely well and suited the characters perfectly.

The DVD extras, although on the weak side have been put together in a very imaginative way. I have yet to see any other special feature discs that give you the amount of interaction that this dvd did. A definite keeper in my collection, 8/10.

RE: Free DVD (choice of six) - only pay 1.95 shipping

cheers to the original poster...picked up darrow with kevin spacey...even if it is C**P i can sell it at computer exchange for £3.99! >:o)
