RE: Hack for Samsung DVDSV1E Combined DVD/Video

Thanks

The player is new I received it this morning and I have just checked that the DVD is good.

I have followed the original instructions and these and got as far as the Samsung DVD screen then neither REPEAT (A-B) or SUBTITLE will bring anything up! Frustrating!

Any more tips?

Hack for Samsung DVDSV1E Combined DVD/Video

Can anyone help me to get my multi-region settings on the Samsung DVD/Video player. I have tried the instructions from DVD Reviewer but can`t even get the first screen up.

Other than disconnecting the unit from the mains and then reconnecting I am not sure what a `Cold Start` means.

Also, I don`t know if it makes any difference to the process if you are connected to the TV through a cable STB.

Incidentally, my daughter has a standard Samsung DVD player and tried to hack hers with no success.

Any veteran Samsung hackers out there willing to help out a novice?

Thanks
