ET?
Does anyone know if there are plans to release ET on R2?
Loud Buzzing with TV/VIDEO/DIGI-BOX set up
I have a Sony Wega connected to my Pace Digibox with a scart to the "TV output" of the Digi-Box. The "Video output" scart on the Digi-box is connected to my Panasonic Video.
If the Digi-Box is switched to standby and the Video is on, a Loud Buzzing noise is produced.
If the Digi-Box is on and I select the Video`s menu, the same Buzz is produced.
I have tried other connections, but this is the only one I can find which will allow me to record a terrestrial program and watch sky and visa-versa
If anyone can shed light on this problem, I would be very grateful
All systems have 2 scarts, but the second scart on the TV is taken by my DVD player.
Thanks, Alex.
Is 100Hz worth the extra money?
Hi, I`m after a 32 inch widescreen TV. Having 100Hz set looks to cost an extra £200. I am wondering if it is worth the extra money especially when watching DVD`s through Composite Video or S-Video.
I would also like to know what TV`s people recommend. So far, I have looked at the Sony Wega, and Panasonic Tau. I would like to hear opinions of the sets from people who have them...
Thanks,
Alex
DTS vs AC3 Opinions
I have just purchased a DVD player which is limited to Dolby Digital and does not have DTS decoding.
I have been browsing the web trying to get a feel for how strong the support is for both systems. As I understand it, Dolby Digital looks to be the most popular, where as DTS is of a higher quality, but uses more space on a disc.
Does anyone believe that in the future, titles may be sold without Dolby Digital in favour of DTS?
RE: Sky Digital? Dolby Digital? to a Panasonic SC-HT80
Thanks for the info guys.
I guess for now I will have to get my 5.1 fix from my DVD`s 8-)
Alex,
Sky Digital? Dolby Digital? to a Panasonic SC-HT80
I understand that Sky Digital could transmit Dolby Digital but they just dont want to. As I understand it, Dolby Digital is contained on a stereo track (be it digital).
If SKY did transmit DD, would this signal pass through the Stereo Outputs of my Digi-Box and into the AUX or TV of my Panasonic SC-HT80?
The Manual for the SC-HT80 states that only DVD`s will activate the Dolby Digital side of the AMP. The manual is however very basic. I am wondering if any input signal containing DD information may work.
I have been unable to find any depth as to the internal workings of these systems.
Lots to think about......
Any comments would be great..... Alex.
