RE: Do ChoicesDirect steal money from consumers regularly?

Have used Choices for years. Prices are competative, new offers are available regularly, delivery in my opinion is second to none. Customer service is as good as any on the net, as fast and friendly as cdwow. If you are unhappy with Choices then god help you. Buy something of the godawful Splash then you will see what a bad retailer looks like. Happy new year!

RE: cheap digital camera with LCD for £30 from Novatech

Hi all, does anyone have an link for driver software for this camera? thanks!

RE: Pearl Harbor (Vista Series) @ CDWOW

CDWOW are reliable and fast, however if cost is your number 1 consideration then this link comes out at about 16.00, quite a saving for the same product. But it will take longer!

RE: Moulin Rouge Vs Samsung

The samsung 511 which i use is simailar to your 709. I have played many R1 and NTSC discs with no problems, however, just yesterday i tried to play Moulin Rouge (R1 NTSC). I experienced for the first hour slight pauses, slight pixelation etc and as you say by about chapter 20 in my case it was unwatchable. The disc has played fine on a friends dvd today and was in pristine condition straight from CDWOW and i personally suspect that it has problems playing the first layer initially and when it starts the second layer it just dies. I suspect that technology has just caught up with these machines as the MR disc probably, from the look of the video and soundtrack, is probably the state of dvd media art as it stands today. I also have read that the samsung 511 cannot hack NTSC-NTSC output and outputs in pal60 which may be the problem. I hope someone can help as it will obviously be of interest to me too.
