Macrovision Free or hackable Player - Cheap

Does anyone know of a cheap as chips dvd player available at present that is or can be macrovision free.

ideally under £30 or £40 max.

Many thanks

RE: Pacific DVD1002 mk2

no problem..

remove disc if in the player and power off at the mains. Power on.
Now using the remote, Press Open/Close so the draw opens
now Press Clear button
Press 1
Press 3
Press 6
Press 9
Then Press 0
Close the drawer using the remote.
Now try player

If that does not work (It should as i have done it on 1002mk2 and the 900 model ok)
, then try the one below:

Press Setup
Press 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2 etc, or 7 for Bypass
Press Pause/Step, Previous, Next and Setup

RE: Tesco DVD Player £24

any idea on the model

Tesco DVD Player £24

Tesco are doing a dvd player for £24 , anyone know anything about it and what hacks are available.

Pacific DVD1002 mk2

Pacific DVD1002 MK2 player £34.94 at Asda

Anyone know a macrovision hack for this player
Done multiregion ok

Thanks

Pacific DVD1000

Anyone know if the Pacific DVD1000 macrovision off hack works

I have the DVD900 for xmas but will take back tomorrow to change if i can hack it

PACIFIC DVD 900 & DVD 1000 (Asda)

Just got the dvd900 for a present. They did have the DVD1000 as well for about another £5 but i thought the 900 was fully hackable.

The Multiregion hack works ok, but the Macro off does not. I need it to be macro off as the tv doesnt have scart so needs to go into a video first.

Does anyone know of a hack for macrovision for the DVD900 or does the latest DVD1000 player allow you to switch off macro and make multiregion and if so what is it.
I have been through all the posts but seems to be a lot of conflicting info that it does and doesnt work and also the sequence.

Help was be gratefull....

Thanks

Aldi / Tevion DVD-Recorder MD80032

Got one of these today, very impressed with quality of build and actually the recordings and chapter settings are good.

I am sure this recorder uses the Cirrus Logic Sonata platform but so far all i can find on the unit.

Still hunting for a hack for multiregion

RE: Can anyone help me with my ALDI DVD player?

does the dvd players scart sockets say in or out or tv / video etc. or have RGB next to one. Also can you confirm if this recorder has a tv tuner built in

RE: Can anyone help me with my ALDI DVD player?

how many scarts sockets are on the dvd player itself ?

Also on your tv/vid the holeys do they say anything next to them and what colours are they on your tv/video. I suspect they are just audio.

RE: Can anyone help me with my ALDI DVD player?

how many scart connections has the dvd player got ?
Does it have RGB Scart connector

Aldi DVD Recorded

If anyone goes and gets the Aldi DVD recorder today can they post a quick review of the spec on here please.
As the website does not say if it has a tuner, rgb etc.

Thanks

RE: Which DVD recorder(Tevion or Liteon) please help!!

I am just trying to decide which player to get as i only have £150 to spend.

Looked at this Aldi one but from what i can tell it has no scart sockets ??

Liteone 5005 at Argos seems a bargain but is it my best bet ?

Basically i really am unsure which to buy, i want to record from sky via cart and ideally it will be RGB.
It also must have a tuner built in.

Whats my best buy ?

Best Budget DVD Recorder - Liteon or Yamada - Please help !

Ok i have £150 to spend on a DVD Recorder.

Which has the best features, picture/sound quality etc. and can be made Macro Free and Multi Region:

Yamada DVDR8000 (£149 Richer Sounds)
or
Liteon 5005

Any help would be great as i want to go and but in on Tuesday.

:-)
