RE: Band of Brothers 6DVD set Reg 2-£33.99 post free on Cd-Wow
Nice spot! A real bargain at that price!!
RE: Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs (1937)(Collector`s Pack)
Just caught up with this thread for the first time after my initial post.
I have to say I was slightly shocked by the abuse! The simple fact is that I only ordered TWO, i.e.ONE more than I need for personal use!! Furthermore I don`t necessarily intend to sell this on ebay but may instead use it as a gift, I haven`t decided. I was merely pointing out the fact that it was such a good bargain that you could buy a copy watch it and then sell it for more than you paid! Whatever I do I don`t think I was being at all greedy - it`s not as though I bought 25 copies!!
I actually understand what you aresaying perfectly, there have been several occassion where I have missed bargains because others have grab the opportunity to profit, which I agree is very unfair. A particularly good example being a certain pricing error on digital cameras. How many people bought several of those, thus limiting the number to benefit?
On a lighter note I am pleased to say my two copies have been posted with arrival expected today (so when I get home). I just hope they are intact!!
RE: Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs (1937)(Collector`s Pack)
Hurray!
Bagged two copies!!
These command pretty good prices on ebay!
Cheers
RE: Bargain Crazy TV DVD VCR and Dolby HiFi £500
I`m not saying it isn`t a bargain, indeed if I had £500 quid... But it doesn`t actually say anything about a dvd player. (though it is shown in the picture).
RE: Help please - printer catridges
Don`t know about the sites already mentioned but I`ve used these guys a couple of times. Good prices and pretty quick too:

RE: Not A Great Bargain But.......
"Yeah i agree.....can`t understand why they havent realesed a SE"
Simple.
They want to sell a whole load of the bog standard versions that cost them pennies to produce and then release a special edition to get people to replace their basic version.
Clever marketing or money grabbing? You decide.
Call me cynical but I bet that`s what will happen.
RE: Ghostbusters
Don`t forget that amazon will charge postage on top of that price, £1.74 I think.
I was actually thinking of buying this myself and had a look for the best price. The best deal I found was £9.99 for the US version (region 1) at CDWow which is slightly better than the UK release. Practically anyone will tell you that CDWow are very relaible and also very quick to deliver. You do do need a multi-region player though.
http://www.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2.php?product_code=2099
The cheapest for a UK / Region 2 version is £8.99 at Choices Direct:

I haven`t personally used Choices Direct so can`t vouch for them. Both they and CDWow have free postage so are cheaper than Amazon.
FREE Sony J70 with FREE 12 Months Line Rental
Heading says it all really.

The tariff isn`t great (Orange matching Vodafone Business), but the phone is better than many others. Certainly beats paying about £80 for it as a pay as you go and then having higher call charges. Free phone anyway!!
Edit: Or you could pay £50 and get a Nokia 3330 instead.

RE: Buffy Season 2 at movietyme
Nice one. Cheers.
RE: Buffy Season 2 (R1) for £34.99?
Maybe.
It seems to depend mainly on the particular retailer. I don`t know how likely it is that you will get stung by using these retailers (does anyone else know?).
I do know that if they mark it as a gift the allowance is greater but I am not sure if it is high enough to effect these.
I don`t know if that really helps.
RE: Buffy Season 2 (R1) for £34.99?
Okay forget AB Sound, but you could instead try:
North American DVD - about £31.50 inc. P&P
http://www.esearchnshop.com/nadvd/detail.asp?id=4441
OR
DVD Express - about £33.30 inc. P&P
http://www.dvdexpress.com/affiliate_portal.asp?cid=8199&url=%2Fdefault%2Easp%3Fproductnumber%3D40248
Not 100% sure about postage costs coz it`s a 6 disc pack but definately worth looking at. Does anyone know how good these retailers are?

RE: Buffy Season 2 (R1) for £34.99?
Or you could get it for about £29 from AB Sound, also R1.

!! UPDATE !!
Just tried to order my copy only to find that the shipping charges were higher than I was originally quoted making the total slightly more than £35 (plus the possibility of customs tax). Sorry about that!

RE: devoted.com.au free shipping again - now until 5th May
Having waited two weeks to place my order after the fiasco last time imagine my dissapointment to discover all the dvd`s I`d intended to buy have gone up in price by about 50%!! (I was going to buy Independence Day, Abyss, and Braveheart)
So I would have been about £1.50 better off (for each dvd) before this free postage week!!
Is this a normal tactic for Devoted?
I am considering making a complaint, but I am not sure that it`s worth it. What do you think?
RE: NOT DVD BUT A PRICE ERROR WORTH LOOKING AT ?
Cheers great spot! How on earth did you find `em? Anyway keep `em coming!
I`ve ordered 5 of each - I don`t really expect to get them - I`ve already had an email saying battlezone 2 is out of stock - but it`s certainly worth a try.
As far as I know they can`t charge you anything other than the price that they quote on the website and order confirmation. However they are perfectly within their rights to cancel the order right up until they charge you. After they have charged you, you have the right to expect delivery of the goods, but that doesn`t mean that they won`t realise the error and try and stop it. Though at that point I believe that you as the customer are on stronger ground, legally, than they are.
(If anyone knows better I am only too happy to be corrected!)

RE: Free shipping 13th 14th April www.devoted.com.au
Great free shipping!
But how the hell are you supposed to take advantage when the sites down for hours on end?
Has anyone managed to order yet?
Does anyone have any tips about when might be the best time to try again - bearing in mind I can`t stay at my pc for the next 48 hours on the off chance it might start working again?!
RE: Monsters Inc - £13!!!!
September - according to dvdboxoffice and a couple of other US / Canadian websites.
RE: Monsters Inc - £13!!!!
Why even bother?
Why bother preordering from Canada wait god knows how long for it to arrive when it is released at practically the same time internationally?
Plus you don`t know how much you`ll actually end up paying coz of exchange rate fluctuations OR how much it will cost from anywhere else AND you can`t possibly know how the Canadian release will compare to other versions!
RE: 1 years free line rental for 39.99 from CPW on a 3310. !!!!!!!
Truely a great deal. They did the same thing a couple of years ago on a Nokia 5110 on Cellnet with 200 mins a month. Signed up for that too, and now used that old phone to trade in on this deal - I couldn`t have gotten £30 for it anywhere else.
Shock is right, the main point is to shift some phones. However they will hope to make some money because MOST people won`t cancel the contract straight away at the end of the "free" 12 months. Plus the cost of all the calls you make of course.
Anyone who missed this offer and wished they hadn`t may well find it worth their time checking the site each day for the next few weeks. I`d say it`s quite likely they`ll repeat this some time soon, though probably only for one day!
RE: MVC Bargains
Thanks, nice one!
RE: MVC EASTER INTERNET SALE - ARMAGEDDON 2 DISC 4 A 10ER
Thanks! Managed to get Armageddon SE, Stargate Directors Cut and Se7en 2 Disc for £7.99 each!! (instore - so no postage either).
You may think that Armageddon (or the others) is a s*** film, but the dvd is excellent (sound, picture and extras).
Oh, and also got American Beauty and Gladiator CE on BOGOF (ie. £20), from Woolies - again instore.
Sure beats waiting days for delivery!
