Bargain Buckets Forum
Hi folks,
Both www.Play.com and www.futureent.com have Buffy - Season 2 (R1) DVD for £34.99 (Released on 11th June).
Am I missing a catch here? or does anyone know if this promising trend is liekly to continue? :)
Cheers...

Yep it seems like it`s a trend for R1. The Friends R1 1st season box sets are also significantly cheaper than R2, which adds to the "are we getting ripped off in the UK" debate. I guess the only good thing is that we`re getting the releases early here.

Or you could get it for about £29 from AB Sound, also R1.

!! UPDATE !!
Just tried to order my copy only to find that the shipping charges were higher than I was originally quoted making the total slightly more than £35 (plus the possibility of customs tax). Sorry about that!

Its probably not gonna come out for a while. It money over time. I dont think i can wait. Will just pay £60 and get it now me thinks. I dont think us UK people should be complaining cos we had it ages before the US so nah nah nah nah nah nah. :-P

Okay forget AB Sound, but you could instead try:
North American DVD - about £31.50 inc. P&P

OR
DVD Express - about £33.30 inc. P&P

Not 100% sure about postage costs coz it`s a 6 disc pack but definately worth looking at. Does anyone know how good these retailers are?

But you also have to pay for the import duty, right?
RE: Buffy Season 2 (R1) for £34.99?
Maybe.
It seems to depend mainly on the particular retailer. I don`t know how likely it is that you will get stung by using these retailers (does anyone else know?).
I do know that if they mark it as a gift the allowance is greater but I am not sure if it is high enough to effect these.
I don`t know if that really helps.
