If you don`t already know, a 2 disc special edition of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home is due out on June 2nd with a RRP of £24.99 ... I wonder if we`ll be able to get it for less than £8! Fingers crossed.

Have ordered special editions of Star Trek 2 and 3 as well. Unfortuantley, my past experience with SplashDVD hasn`t been that good - they tend to be very slow.

Incidentally, Play.com are selling the 2-disc special edition of the first film for £7.99.

Typical, was only planning on getting Wrath of Khan!

Red Curtain Trilogy (R4). Approx £33.33 - any cheaper?

EzyDVD (http://www.ezydvd.com.au/) are selling The Red Curtain Trilogy at about £33.33 ($20 Aus for shipping!).

This contains Strictly Ballroom, Romeo+Juliet, Molin Rogue (2 Disc edition) and an Extras disc.

Anybody know where to get it for even cheaper? Supplier must be customs friendly - I think EzyDVD are.

I`ve cancelled my order for "Drunken Master" from SplashDVD - would prefer a platinum edition whenever it comes out - wouldn`t we all :)

Went to my local woolworths today and there was the animated version of Lord of the Rings from the late seventies for £6.99. Not sure if it`s available cheaper anywhere else - £14.99 from Play.

They`ve changed the price. May have been a pricing mistake. There were other great bargains on the weekend that they have now fixed too. Other great bargains which have now been increased in price included:

Thanks. I`ve just placed my pre-order (due out around 9th September I think). It does sound like incredible value, and from what I could also see the film Hitman is included. That`s what I call generous.

The price has now gone up to £14.99. I`ve also received a dispatch email from splash stating 2 DVDs I did not even order - and it has the same order reference ID as the order confirmation email I received the other day which stated my original purchase correctly.

Im getting suspicious - did splash do a pricing mistake and are now sending out the wrong items on purpose so people will have to return them and re-purchase the DVDs at a higher price?

Nope, these are definatley not the ones with Peter Weller (although to be honest, I thought the only good robocop film was the first one). There`s a couple of reviews of the set at this site (dvd reviewer) and it sounds above average.

This is my first order with splash dvd so not sure how fast they are - although the site stated 7-10 days as the delivery time.

Shame there`s no bonus material - but then again, for under £5 for 4 films I shouldn`t complain too much.

Haven`t got a clue if it`s any good but for £4.49 inclusive of P&P I`ll take the risk.
