I speant £700 because it was one of the first dvd players to come to britain- its sony, multi region, dts enabled MACROVISION ALLREADY TAKEN OFF!!! and lost of othe features like when watching a dvd with patches over explicit parts, it can take away the patches, ohh and it was the first ever dvd to be able to record tv, so for £700, it is an absolute bargain!!!!!!

And There is a special Sonic The Hedghog game comeing to ps2 which will be different to the ones on Gamecube and GBA

And in number 8 I am saying that a new console is brought out when the original console`s games reach its full power, by this ps2 will reach its full power and so will the next generation of sony`s wonders quite a few times, same with the gamecube probably, by this time, the public (dont miss out the `l` in public) will want new consoles and will get bored of the terd box. And if the next generation of sony`s wonders play the original games there will me thousand of games- PS2, PS1 and PSX togeter have just nearly 3000 games while xbox has- under 40, correct me if i am wrong because i have never seen any in blockbusters (good choice blockbuters) and gamcube will have 30 on release.

I dont really want to critasize the gamecube that much because with sega behind them the machine will have pleanty of cool games but really it is a bit of a kiddy`s machine!

I really hate the xbox because once i like 1 thing, i have to hate annother!!! I started to watch formula1 3-years ago and started to support maclaren (who are obviously the best) and now i hate it when i see a ferarri win!!!

you are a sad little loser who bought an xbox!!! your just cheesed cos they are 10 very good reasons, and dont say halo and project gothem are only for xbox because project gothem is comeing out for ps2 and gamecube now and halo 2 is comeing for ps2 only because they will sell more copies!! It took ps2 over a year to drop price by 1/3- its taken xbox 5 weeks!!! everyone knows its a falier!!

Dont get an Xbox, there poo!! Here are some good reasons;

1. Ps2 looks cool- a box with a green x on it? a purple cube? are u some kind of five year old? do you want people to laugh at you? stick with the stylish, cool ps2- your interior designer will thank you for it!

2. The ps2 doubles as a shelf! xbox has a slope-top and a gamecube has a flip up lid- they just don`t know about todays compact housing!

3. Ps2 plays dvd`s- so does xbox if you pay £40 for a dvd remote after the original £300 you paid in the first place!!

4. Dont encourage bill gates- he`s allready rich enough!

5. Everyone loves to hat michrosoft!! Just ask your It technition

6. Britney spears!!! only for ps2- her new game!!!

7. All these only for ps2: Mgs2, mgs3, gta4, gta Miami, Ridge racer 6, colin macrae 3, v-rally3, dead or alive 5 and sonic the hedgehog!!!

8. Metal Gear solid take up 1/6 of ps2`s power, halo uses 1/32- imagine how long it will take for xbox to get to full power? PS200 will be out by then!!

9. People with xbox`s are usually pricks, i know 6 people with them- all pricks!!

10. Without a ps2 you can`t read any ps2 magazines!!!

I`m not too sure about this because if they drop the price but £100 thousands of people are going to be complaining (including me) and sony arn`t as rich as michrosoft and can`t afford to give everyone a free controller and two free games!

This is rubbish. I bought a playstation 2 (europe) as a games console not as a dvd player seeing as i have an awsome dvd player that i payed £700 for. After purchasing my ps2 i did play a few dvd`s and they have come out ok. If you are from somewhare else in the world this might be different!
