I don`t think so !!! It must be a way to hack all the player either via software or remote !!! In the world, there is no such stupid manufacturer or designer to just make a designed or manufacturer only for one region.
All the player have the same hardware inside, although from difference region, the only thing is the either software or remote switching will help to change/switch the reigion !!!!
Surely , it has a way to crack the player without any hardware modification !!!!!

The region switching works automatically. Put your player into standby mode and enter one of the following
commands if necessary:
