I have recently bought the above player but cannot find the coding for the regional hacks. If anyone can help out there it would be most appreciated.

I purchased one of these yesterday, tried the hack, unfortunately I couldn`t get it to work... Having had a play with the machine, holding down [pause] and [open] simultaneously on the machine and pressing number [5] or [9] on the remote handset seem to produce a code on the machine display (nothing on the TV` picture though). Any idea`s anyone?

despite the frustration of macro and region 2, this machine produces very good results!

I`ve just had my players firmware upgraded. It now auto switches to the required region. Works on RCE discs to. No more handset combinations. Just play the disc and it works.

MR DVD - Those are the instructions for Techtronic`s multi mod chip upgrade.

Mr W - This is a documented service feature, used for displaying the region on the front panel. You cannot change the region this way.

The XV10 must be upgraded, there is no handset hack.
