BACKING UP DVD`S

can someone PLEASE explain how i put a film i have downloaded off the internet onto a disc please. what are the best discs to use(ie cdr or dvdr). i do have nero 6 but can not work out how to use it properly. was told this is the best program to use??

how do i get all the film on disc???

HELP>>>>>> i am trying to copy films on a disc from pc.(for back up purposes obviously :D) how do i get it to copy the whole disc as it keeps saying that the disc is not big enough. i am using 4.7gb discs?? i am copying using dvdshrink via nero 6. can u buy dvdr`s that have a bigger gb`s on?? if so where from and are they the same quality?? does anyone know how to unlock the modem on the time pc.... have contacted time but they keep fobbing me off....the modem will onlt let you dial out to "supernet" only

PC REGION HELP!!!

hi,i have been told that when you buy a new pc after you have played 5 different regions that the dvd rom then locks in a region.what region does it lock in and is there a way around this?? ps thanks to everyone that answered my last question!! PLEASE help with this one....thanks in advance

HELP FOR COPYING DVD`S

is there something i can do to be able to copy dvd`s on my pc? i have a dvd rom plus a dvd re-writer but everytime i try and copy one i get the "copyright" thing on the screen....is there a way of bypassing this? or do i have to copy onto pc first with dvd decrypter then put on a dvd??

thanks again for replying..yes it plays region 2. its just the region 1 dvd`s. i am gonna try it on my own tv,a philips 28" widescreen which i used to play all my dvd`s no problem,including region 1,2,3,4,5,6,7
and yes it did start happening as soon as i linked it to my partners jvc tv which i have found out is 6 years old

thanks for replying...i have changed tv`s cause its now on my partners tv which is quite an old one. i have a 28" widescreen philips one and she has a jvc 20" which i think is about 7-10 years old.
do you think this could be the main problem then?
and what about the "flash err" that came up on the dvd display when i tried to put the hack on the dvd player again?

hiya,i hacked my dvd player xd-dv480 about a year ago to play every region which i have had no trouble with upto 2 days ago.now when i play a region 1 film the screen basically splits into 3(this is the easiest way of putting it). does anyone know the reason this has just started to happen??? i have tried to upload the hack again and one thing i did notice that when it got half way through the hack it came up with "flash Err)???

to get the word "code" up on the player
1...put player on without a disc in
2...wait for "no disc" to come up
3...press pause,then press 1472,then press pause again....
next.......well thats where i am stuck.you can change all the numbers and letters but i dont know what i`m changing them to.
ANY HELP?????

there must be someone on here that has worked out how to make this model a multi region one. i can get the "code" up on the display but do not know what to do next as there are so many different letters and numbers u can get up on the screen...what one do i need????????????,what does that screen have to say before i press enter?????

if you press pause then 1472 the dvd player comes up with some letters and numbers,you can change the letters and numbers too.does anyone know what these letters and numbers are for and what ones i need it to say on the front of the dvd player to make it multi regional???
