This usually happens when your TV can`t synchronise to a 525 line/60Hz video input, resulting in a rapidly `rolling` display. This is a problem when trying to watch 525 line (American `NTSC` standard) DVDs on older tellies.
What I don`t understand is why this only started happening two days ago - I assume you`re using the same TV as before?
Does your player have the ability to output NTSC DVDs as standard 50Hz PAL? If so, you may have accidentally changed the setting back to 60Hz.

RE: someone help with this problem PLEASE
thanks for replying...i have changed tv`s cause its now on my partners tv which is quite an old one. i have a 28" widescreen philips one and she has a jvc 20" which i think is about 7-10 years old.
do you think this could be the main problem then?
and what about the "flash err" that came up on the dvd display when i tried to put the hack on the dvd player again?
could you please reply again MIKE G...........thanks
RE: someone help with this problem PLEASE
"Flash Err" is your player`s way of telling you it knows the hack and you didn`t need to tell it again. It sounds more like a display fault than anything to do with the multiregion hack. I take it the fault arose after you linked it to the other tv, and you hadn`t played an R1 disc before. What`s happening is the tv you`ve hooked up to can`t handle either an NTSC signal or a PAL60 signal. Does the player work with the tv showing R2 discs?

I have an open mind - everything goes in one ear and out the other.

RE: someone help with this problem PLEASE
thanks again for replying..yes it plays region 2. its just the region 1 dvd`s. i am gonna try it on my own tv,a philips 28" widescreen which i used to play all my dvd`s no problem, including region 1,2,3,4,5,6,7
and yes it did start happening as soon as i linked it to my partners jvc tv which i have found out is 6 years old

RE: someone help with this problem PLEASE
Yep, it`s definitely because the JVC TV can`t handle a 60Hz input. Nothing to do with the player at all.
Change back to the TV you were using before and it`ll be fine.
