Scanning Negatives
Would like to scan a lot of negatives of old photos. Do I need a special scanner or just one with a really high resolution? Anyone doing this already and care to recommend a scanner that can do this job?
cheers
RE: PC reboots at random intervals..! HELP.
Don`t want to complicate things, but after your comment about it crashing before XP loads I`m thinking that it could be temperature related......
1. When u were adding and moving the 2nd drive from the case do u think there is a chance u might have disrupted the fan and heatsink on top of your CPU? The PC would quickly reset in the event that the CPU temperature climed above a critical level. This would be caused by the heatsink and CPU not being perfectly aligned.
2. Also, are all fans still spinning when the PC starts up? If one isn`t, then a gradual temp build up could result in a reboot.......but going by your last comment it`s unlikely to be just a case fan, more likely to be a PSU or CPU fan if it`s rebooting so quickly now.
RE: Alternatives to Windows Washer
CrapCleaner is a good one. Becoming very popular. Powerful cleaning and the guy is always updating the prog with new additions

RE: outlook express has gone t**s up
I`ve been using Opera instead of Outlook Express & Internet Explorer the last few months. It saves on system resources cos you can email and browse from the same program (multiple accounts no prob). Also, you can view multiple websites on one instance of Opera..no need to fire up 3 different copies like IE which wastes system resources.
RE: Microstar 2.2ghz PC at PC World
Ok, i`d have to add a decent sound card, but it says it comes with the GeForce 4 graphic card which should be ok, no?
Microstar 2.2ghz PC at PC World
Anyone got any experience of the above PC ?
£799 sounds a great price for the spec.
