RE: Plasma Screen burn in help?
I second SJ and Paull.
Nearly all our channels have a logo but not *touch wood* experienced burn in.
Also Costco cust service is supposed to be brilliant - something to do with the fact you pay £20p/a membership apparently, but give it a go, nothing to lose right?
RE: Sheila can get stuffed
Seriously,
Why dont we just go the American way and insure the VEHICLE and not the driver (s)
RE: POLL: Should Andy Gray and Richard Keys be sacked?
does no-one think its a bit sinister that someone within Sky (read ` News International`) went to the effort of leaking the material in the first place?
RE: POLL: Should Andy Gray and Richard Keys be sacked?
http://thegrimreaperwrites.blogspot.com/2011/01/rupert-murdoch-phone-tapping-and.html
I didnt realise Gray was taking the NOTW to court over the phone tapping thing too.....
Smells a bit fishy to me.

And that last pair were just glorious.
RE: Ok Tablet or netbook???
My best mate works for a VERY well known electrionics manufacturer and is in charge of business PCs.
He says the market for netbooks has been on, and will continue to be on the decline since Apple launched the iPad, and hence, others develop their tablets.
He even advised me against buying a netbook.

I wonder they`ll do with his giblets.
RE: Anyone had `the chat` with their parents yet wills and probate
its just a case of bunging them on the deeds i think but theres probably a hell of alot more to it than that. Capital Gains Tax etc....
Anyone had `the chat` with their parents yet re: wills and probate
just had one with them and a solicitor - never felt so awkward in my life.
The worst thing is this is just the tip of the iceberg - and some very hard questions/thoughts will be coming up in the near future.
How was it for you lot?
RE: E Bay feedback. rubbish
ditto,
Cant be with selling on ebay any more despite emails every friday offering me free listing all weekends.
Took a load of crap a few weeks back to a 2nd hand shop - got well under market value and probably under ebay value for it but a) didnt p*** about with descriptions/postage/potential negs etc.b) it took the bext part of 20 minutes.
Traded my old gear + £50 towards a pristine NAD amp and mission speakers to connect to my PC :-D
RE: Anyone here use Twitter?
yeah i follow Jake whatisface....good and insightful tweets.
Most of my news now comes from twitter too.
`Breaking News` and Sky newsdesk are good ones + CNN
RE: Anyone here use Twitter?
"nope and i dont do Facebook either... do people not actually talk in person anymore?"
Yes i do, to my wife, kids, parents, friends, customers etc...you get the idea.
I find that facebook and twitter are great in addition to the above.
Anyone here use Twitter?
I`m MrNeilB if anyone else uses it.
It took me about 9 months to get into it. Coupled with the fact you cannot listen to any BBC broadcast without them mentioning it every twenty seconds....but i`m into it big time. Mainly use tweetdeck on iphone.
I do find that most people dont `get` it. Also ppl are so accustomed to facebook they expect something similiar but its not.
Bung yr handle name in this thread.
RE: Five Live on iPhone
yup - another vote for tune in radio.
You can pick up radio stations from across the world including all the beeb ones - its fantastic.
I think its £1.29 but its one of my most used apps - def worth it.
So my faith in the justice sytem has gone up the swanny.
Article says it all....there a name in there you might recognise :(

RE: Ed Miliband wins Labour race

RE: Being made redundant on Monday....
With a bit of cash in the bank (u dont mention kids?) and time on my hands I`d rent my house out and f*ck off to Japan for a 6 months....call it a reward for all those years of work :)
oh and ps...redundancy was the best thing to happen to me...got a £14k payoff... and used it wisely.....set my biz up...earn far more than i would have being employed and never looked back :)
