Wall brackets for LCD TV
Recently bought a new Pc for the kids room with LCD screen at a good price. Problem was that the bracket for the screen was £40.
Having searched the net for a price more in line with reality came across the following www.morpethmobiles.co.uk and got one for £14.99, very helpfull and friendly. If you want abig mount apparantly all theirs are under £100.
Now to convince the wife that the 32" Tosh is to small. :/

Any ideas why and even better how do I fix it.

RE: Sat nav for £270 at Aldi
The medion PDA with the SatNav is a great bit of kit, but it does get better. You can now download a piece of software call POI Warner. This lets you overlay on the SatNav Points of Interest (hence the name), now these POIs could be locations of Burger King, Petrol stations, hotels etc. or it could be the location of Gatsos, Specs or other black spot warnings.
If you have a look at the following link it will take you to the POI Warner and from there you should be able to find the location databases, some are free others are not, the cost of the POI is about £15,same for the camera database.
So for about £300 total, you get a PDA, SatNav and a Speed camera GPS based location system.
Now thats a bargain

RE: Sat nav for £270 at Aldi
Zippy,
Mine is the same as the Halfords (older model) It is limited with regards to not having the CF slot but I bought it for the Sat Nav, the only other thing I use it for is keeping the kids photos on it. The compromise is a lead to the receiver instead of blue tooth wire free, but for the money I paid I can live with it.

RE: Sat nav for £270 at Aldi
Zippy,
Bought one of these last year from Aldi when it was £349.00. Excellent piece of kit can`t fault it and for £270 is an even better bargin.

MICO Espevo R311 recordable DVD player now £169.99
Was in the Suderland Sainsbury store today and they have the Mico R311 at £169.99 on clearance, had about 10 on the shelves. I got one as a Christmas present and I`m well impressed, so the new price has to be a bargin.

RE: MICO Espevo R311 recordable DVD player £249.99 at Sainburys
Visited Savacentre, Washington they tell me that it is due in on 7th November. Whilst I was ther I bought the Lodos LCD for the kids room. Excellent picture quality, with a pc input (supplied with leads), real plus though is that it comes complete with stand and a wall bracket.

RE: bargain BUCKETS.
This thread in relation to bargain `buckets` doesn`t hold water in my opinion.
RE: bargain buckets: 20% threads for dvds, 80% for other non related to dvds, why
Most of us are like minded and in most cases it is related to DVDs.
I bought the mother in law a washing machine first seen on this forum, plumbed it in for her, earned lots of baby sitting credits and used the time to spend with my wife having a good night out and returning home to watch a good DVD.
If some people can`t make the link, well I feel for them.
Leave it alone

Phillips 634, £59 at Orange
My wife and I visited an Orange shop today as her phone had decided to stop working, as it was out of warranty by one month we had no choice to upgrade the handset. Sign a 12 month contract and she got a sexy new Samsung phone free. Because she upgraded her phone she was then entitled to purchase a brand new in the box Phiilips 634 for £59, which is now multi-region,(thanks Nogle1) plays DVD, VCD, VCDcopies, CD, CD-r etc.
So if any one out that has an Orange contract over 12 months old, go upgrade for nowt and get the DVD whilst stocks last.

RE: Very Very Very cheap dell
If you look at terms and conditions of sale it does refer to both a private individual and business as to seperate things under description.
So it should cover the one off private buyer.

Panasonic LV 60 hack
I managed to pick up a Panasonic DVDLV60 for £250.00.
Things got better when I took it to MailUK in Manchester for a no chip software hack to make it multi region, and for £20 yes £20 it does exactly what it says on the tin. Put in any region disc and it will play it, it even has the macrovision disabled.
Isn`t life sweet.
Link to Mailuk for those interested.
