Rocky, which store did you see this or was it in a brochure?

you aren`t from Sunderland by any chance as I see the SAFC in your name?

as it`s outta stock online!

sorted!
10/10 to Argos for user friendliness

It told me it was outta stock as soon as I clicked add to trolley, yet by using the store locator I checked my 5 nearest stores, all were outta stock apart from one, 5 mins up the road

So I`ve reserved mine @ £89.50, cheaper again, which is a bargain I think

It doesn`t say it`s XP compatiable as it`s an older printer, nor do you get the USB lead but I have checked and the XP drivers are available and I already have a spare USB printer lead (£3 from local fair)

reviews look good for this printer and most say price is too much but £90 is not to be ignored

cartridges can be found quite cheap for it also, compatiable or original

cheers Rocky

I have had an Epson 760 for a few years now and am very pleased with it. I ungraded to XP recently and drivers for the printer were not needed as XP has its own.

One problem though! The XP driver does not show the ink levels so I did get the Epson driver and other program? that shows ink.

I have always used compatibles and have only have one black not work properly from "Choice Stationary" so I now only use "Print-Rite" from http://www.tonezoneuk.com with great results, worth the bit extra.

MicoMan,
Re your ink levels problem. I`ve got a 680 with XP and my ink levels disappeared. Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver and printer didn`t sort it. I did sort it though. Try uninstalling Epson Status Monitor too. Then re-installing both. Worked for me. Also check you`ve got bidirectional support ticked. (Printer properties, Ports.)

Micoman

the level indicator is a status monitor program which has nothing to do with driver

here is the direct link for your status monitor
ftp://ftp.epson.co.uk/pub/uk/drivers/printers/inkjet/pc/stm3/sc670_stm3_full.exe

I got it from here, plus it`s probably best if you also get the official drivers too

For XP users you just follow the instructions as for Windows 2000.
I got mine from Newcastle store as the other nearest stores were also out of stock. I originally got mine as a Xmas present from Dixons but it wasn`t working (it turns out it was the display model but they never let on at the time) so took it back and got a refund and went straight to Argos. Result.

It for Sunderland Associated Football Club of course.
Just on a bit of a downer at the minute after the Saints extra time winner.
Oh well, whatever, nevermind.
