RE: Macro-remover for use with DVD Recorders

Hi
Visit ktvision.com, they do scart leads that remove macro-vision and `any other` protection too.
I have a Panasonic E50 and it works a dream! Most macro removers won`t work with Panasonic recorders, this one does. hope this is of some help.

RE: Wharfedale Players - do they work with recordable DVDs?

Hi
I have a Wharfedale M5 ver 1.7 & Panasonic E50 recorder. I`ve found that it is a bit hit and miss as far as the M5 goes with DVD-R`s. It will NOT play Panasonic,Maxell or Memorex discs, however it WILL play e-proformance discs recorded on the E50, however it will freeze if you try and fast forward it more than x2. As a matter of interest the e-proformance dics are made in Taiwan, whether this has anything to do with it I don`t no.

RE: Which DVD Recorder Works!?

I bought a Panasonic E50 a few weeks ago and its the dog`s watsit`s !
It was a toss up between the Phillips 880 or the Panasonic, but after reading about the problems with the Phillips on this and other forums
I went for the Panasonic. The dics seem to be cheaper and the DVD`s
that I have created have played back on Pioneer,Sony,Wharfedale,
Yelo,Harmon Kardon,Toshiba, so far! So anybody who is thinking about getting a recorder,Go for it,get a Panasonic! (NO I DON`T work for Panasonic just a very satisfied owner)

Wharfedale M3

Does anybody know if the M3 has a built in NTSC to PAL 50 converter?
Many thanks.

Budget DVD player at woolies

Hi,
has anybody got any info on the Maxim slimline dvd player on sale at woolies for 79 Quid? It looks very smart!

RE: Video copy stabilizers

I have the video copy box from keene electronics,it works brilliantly and has S vhs sockets as well as composite, also a black&white switch too.
They were selling it at 39 Quid. Highly recomended. Also it does NOT alter the brightness either

Macro Removal

For those of you who cannot Macro Hack your players try the `video enhancer` from Keene elctronics, with sockets for composite and s-vhs.
It works superbly & at the reduced price of £39.99. Christmas present for anyone??

RE: Toshiba SD-210E Macrovision.

Most DVD`S are macrovisioned for copyright purposes, however there are some that are not, The Terminator suprisingly being one also Harry Potter too.The sonel Mac-Master is an excellent way of removing the
protection and its only Thirty Quid!! Have a look at sonel.com. I have had
one slight problem though in that my Phillips VR1000 S Vhs recorder
gave a cr--p picture but my Panasonic S-Vhs, no problem at all, so there could be a compatability problem with the Phillips but its only a guess !!

RE: Macrovision

I purchased a Macro-Master about 6 months ago and found it excellent,I had no probs at all with Face-off at all. However when I hooked it up to my Phillips VR1000 S-vhs video the picture being fed through was perfect, the recorded picture was as you say `crap`,but put it through either my Panasonic S-vhs or JVC vhs, the recorded picture was fine. The only thing that I can think of is that may be there is a compatability problem with certain video recorders, but it is only a guess!
