Anyone with a 5000 series LG DVD player (it`s definitely works with the LG DVD 5253) go to this web address:

and follow the instructions exactly. You have to download a file, un-zip it and then burn it to a CD-R (yep you need a CD Re-writer.)

LG DVD 5253 - ANY MULTI REGION HACKS?
If anyone knows any hacks to make the LG DVD 5253 Multi Region I would be SO grateful. I`m not sure whether to risk trying the one for the AIWA XR-DV 370KN.
