RE: Sainsburys sells TV and DVD combi for under £100

I just purchaced one of these Lodos tv/dvd combi units today. I can confirm that it plays region 0,1,2 and 4. The unit itself is silver in colour and similar to one of the Bush tv/dvd units. Picture and sound quality seems fine, and the unit also has fastext. All this for £99, at least £30 cheaper than other similar units. :D

The only negative point is that there seems to be very few around. I reserved my unit from Sainsburys, and it was the only one they had in stock!!

Region-free hack for a Philips 28PW6826/05 TV/DVD combi, please

I have a Philips 28PW6826/05 TV/DVD combi, and have tried the Philips DVD hack indicated in the `multi-region hacks` section of this web site. However, it does not seem to work, no onscreen display showing 11 spaces appears.

I remember reading some postings on this web site indicating that the hack does not work, but also some saying that it does.

If anyone out there could help me with this problem, I would be most grateful.
