About this user: Recently purchased a Toshiba 220E DVD player.
Fantastic player, but being a member of the Forces serving overseas, I really need it to be multi-region.
I tried a remote hack which was power-zoom-6-0-6-zoom. The region numbers 1.0,1.500 and R2 scroll across the panel, but it won`t play region 1 discs.
I need help from a few DVD Gurus, so here goes.

Toshiba 220E Hack info needed

Dear all, appologies to the DVD Gurus, but as a complete novice, I need the right info. I recently bought the Toshiba 220E from Amazon and thought that the region-free hack was straight forward. i.e. Zoom-6-0-6-Zoom (taken from another hack site). Was I wrong!. Tried it and sure enough the front panel scrolled the message 1.00, 1.500 and R2, but it still won`t play region 1 discs. As a member of HM Forces serving overseas, I really need this cracking player to be more flexible.
Any guidance on the disc needed for the right hack would really be appreciated. Thanks, PB
