Page 1 of Toshiba 220E Hack info needed

Dear all, appologies to the DVD Gurus, but as a complete novice, I need the right info. I recently bought the Toshiba 220E from Amazon and thought that the region-free hack was straight forward. i.e. Zoom-6-0-6-Zoom (taken from another hack site). Was I wrong!. Tried it and sure enough the front panel scrolled the message 1.00, 1.500 and R2, but it still won`t play region 1 discs. As a member of HM Forces serving overseas, I really need this cracking player to be more flexible.
Any guidance on the disc needed for the right hack would really be appreciated. Thanks, PB

As far as I am aware there is no remote hack, there is a disc which you can run through it that will make it multi-region, My local television company upgraded mine for me for a small fee. I have the same problem, bought my machine from Amazon and found that the unit is not remote hackable.

Folks this is the third time, this topic has come up now and it was solved properly in the first thread. Go and search for it.
You shouldn`t need to be paying someone to do this for you, all the stuff is out there for FREE.
If you haven`t got a CD writer then go to a mate who has.
