Well I emailed the Korean site & the 190 minutes includes the Special Features & the film is 120 minutes. So it`s just the New Line Platinum Edition renamed. *sigh* back to the drawing board then :(

Just an update. I was browsing a Korean DVD site & came across a 190 minute version of Blade!!! Here`s the link: http://www.koreandvds.com/dvddetail.html?id=6698

I dunno what the special features are cos no online translator (inc. Babelfish) can translate them but it is titled as "Blade - Special Edition"

Do u think it`s worth the risk of ordering movie_buff?

yeah it is the same as the rare US one (hence lots of people selling their old "rare" copies on Ebay for £100`s when they heard that the R2 SE news lol)

ARRRGHHHHH f*** me not again!!!

Well my Blade R1 came through the letter box from Play this morning & yep u guessed it... they sent me the f***ing 18A Canada version *fumes*. They have agreed to refund me & all that s*** but this is really starting to grate on me now cos they listed it as the R rated USA one but sent me that French crap (which they said was down to the suppliers in North USA *sighs*). I`m gonna fire off an email to Amazon.com to see if they can guarantee me the R rated USA version if I order from them (also gonna email Deep Discount DVD cos I`m gonna pre-order the LOTR 5 discer & Spiderman 2 Disc LE Boxset from em so might aswell give it a shot)

NEwayz movie_buff any chance u would sell me ure uncut one if I can`t lay my hands on a USA copy of Blade ;)

The Vista Series are more-or-less Special Editions of Special Editions. For example the Vista Series of the Sixth Sense & Unbreakable contain more extras on the disc & some goodies such as postcards & orginal artwork cells etc... than the original 2 DVD Special Editions that where released of them in the past.

Westy,(the 24%er) cheers 4 the link but there`s no point me getting the DTS version cos I ain`t got no surround speakers yet (have to get a new 28" £600 Sony TV first).

movie_buff thanks again 4 the help :) I have ordered the R rated "snapper" R1 version from Play for £12.99. So hopefully this one will be uncut :)

Amaray (the uncut USA one is in a snapper case). U can spot the Canada one a mile off cos it has french writing on the sleeve & if u turn the sleeve inside out theres a totally French version of the cover.

NEwayz the easiest way to tell the difference between the USA & Canada versions is that the Canada one is rated 18A & the USA one is rated R

Well I ordered it from CD-WOW & they sent me the f***ing Canadian release which is cut *sighs*. But with one quick phone call & me explaining that there is two different New Line Platinum Editions they are giving me a full refund & even paying the return postage aswell :)

Just posting this as a warning though cos if the site description says that it has French Subtitles & French Audio AVOID cos it is the s***ty Canada version.

Hi guys,

Just wondering which region DVD of Blade I should go for. I have read on the Rewind comparison site that the region 1 version (Platinum Series) is uncut and the R2 one had some minor graphic scenes removed. Then to confuse me some more a few people said that there R1 copy of Blade was not uncut (a Canadian release maybe?). So do any of u fellas own R1 Blade & is it uncut, here`s a list of the cuts:

Cuts to blood spurting from necks becuase it`s "too graphic". Also, this version removes some footage from the scene where Quinn captures Blade: when the henchman`s hand is obliterated by his booby trapped sword, the uncut scene shows the henchman licking his blood pumping stump, but in the cut version all we see is him sticking his tongue out
