Hack needed for pacifc dvd!!

I bought the pacific dvd with the amp built in from Asda!
I tried the Pacific hack but it did not work.
I do not have a open/close on the remote?
Have they changed the code or stopped it all together!

Pacific Dvd with amp

I bought a Pacific Dvd with dolby digital amp from Asda last year!
I tried the region code hack and macro hack and it did not work :-(
Is there a hack for this player?

RE: Proline 1000 - Help Please

You have got your Player set to the TV system AUTO

See secion 5-6 of your manual.

Under selecting the type of disc for the type connected TV

Which basicly is :-

Stop the film. But leave it in the drive. Then press the "TV system" button on your remote it will say "AUTO NTSC PAL" on the top left of your TV select PAL to watch on a PAL TV. If you select AUTO it will play NTSC discs in NTSC i.e Black and White or PAL discs as PAL in Colour :-)

I think this machine works in the US as well, as the power supply is from 110 to 240 volts 50/60 hz. I wonder if the NTSC is pure 3.58?

Macrovison

Is there any way to dsable the macrovision on the Proline DVD100?

As my tv does not have a scart socket. I have to run it via the scart socket on my video. Some discs flash when playing. Or is there anything I can put between the dvd and video recorder?

The ALBA DVD103 is reported to be a region free player straight out of the box! Why not find someone who has a region1 disc and buy it. If it does not work take it back under argos`s 16 day money back.
