HELP! Marantz DVD 4200 plays VCD`s but very badly. Sound out of sync with Image!

Hello,

I have a Marantz DVD 4200 and have unlocked the option to play VCD`s but it plays them very badly. The sound is very bad quality and out of sync with the image.

I have tested th4 VCD on another DVD player and it plays fine. The same on my PC?

Has anyone sucsessfully got VCD`s working on a Marantz DVD 4200?

Marantz DVD 4200 question on VCD`s

Hello,

I have purchased a Marantz DVD 4200 and the manual says it does not read or play VCD`s. I have tested too and displays "No Disc"

Can someone confirm if this is a country block or something because in Australia they are saying the Marantz 4200 can read / play VCD`s with no problems.

Help! Marantz DVD 4200 VCD problems after remote hack applied !!!

Hello,

I applied the remote control hack to enable VCD reading / playing on my Marantz DVD 4200. It now reads VCD`s but when I play them the sound is all out of sync with the image and contains pops and cracks.

I have tested the VCD on another cheapie DVD player and it plays fine, no sound problems?

The player plays all my DVD`s & MP3 discs with no problems. ???

Any help would be most appreciated.

PS: They tell me this same model can play VCD`s from factory default in other countries but here in Spain mine does not??
