Page 1 of HELP! Marantz DVD 4200 plays VCD`s but very badly. Sound out of sync with Image!

Hello,

I have a Marantz DVD 4200 and have unlocked the option to play VCD`s but it plays them very badly. The sound is very bad quality and out of sync with the image.

I have tested th4 VCD on another DVD player and it plays fine. The same on my PC?

Has anyone sucsessfully got VCD`s working on a Marantz DVD 4200?

is this player multi region hackable?

Are you sure they have the correct audio quality for the VCD standard? When I make mine I sometimes reduce the audio quality so I can get more on one CD-R. Plays on my DVD fine but not on all.
