I was thinking of getting an easy sim card £10 for £5, I have a Sagem myX-2 using an orange simcard, would I be able to put the easy one straight in,I am assuming my phone is locked to orange on Pay as you Go.

Thanks very much for the driver ownload link, do you know which of the drivers I should use ?? I have tried a couple of them and the printer says invalid and stops working.

Is there any difference between the xp driver and the HP one ?

HP Laserjet 4plus Driver needed please

I am dabbling in using a Laserjet printer for the first time and got the above printer from a local office that was closing down.

I use windows xp and it has loaded a driver and everything works, I would just like to update the driver for a more recent one,with more functions.

I have spent ages googling and trying to download from the HP support website,but cant seem to get anything to work.

Can anyone post a link to a driver for me please.

Do you know if you can refiil the toner on these or the cheapest price or place for a toner cartridge ?

RE: Problem with printing Black on 3 printers.

The reason i bought this printer,was that my Epson Stylus 830 had stopped printing in black,I could change text to colour and it will print,but no black even with a new cartridge.

I also have a Lexmark printer that also wont print black.

Thats 3 different makes of printers and none will print black.

Any ideas ??

Problem with printing in Black with Canon and Lexmark and Epson printers

I have picked up this morning from a local car boot sale a Canon BJC 2000, it came with a colour cartridge,print head thing with it that contained a 3 colour cartridge which I believe is empty,and I got a new Black cartridge which I have installed alongside it.

The problem is the printer works fine except nothing appears on paper,I have done several head cleans etc,but nothing at all appears on the paper,

I have downloaded a fresh driver and everything looks right,has anyone got one of these printers or can offer any help please.

Yes it is true you can record Audio CDs onto CDRs,no problem,
and as others have posted you can fool the Macrovision system, what you do is set up the 5005 to record as normal,but for about 10 seconds record something blank which you know has no Macrovision,I have used the blank screen of my DVD player through the scart connection,then put the 5005 on pause,and change the disc to the one with Macrovision and it will now record as normal.

Another satisfied Liteo-on 5005 user here,I have been recording on it all week,DVD and Vhs to DVD-R, and to CDR,also easily by passed Macrovision,and no problem with jitters and havent yet upgraded the firmware, very easy to use machine.

Lite-on 5005 DVD-R copies not playing properly.

I have been archiving some of my vhs collection of TV shows, I have a 5005 bought in early december and I have not updated any firmware yet.

I have been practising with some cheap unbranded DVD-R discs and there has been no problem in making great copies,except when I play the disc in my PC dvd player or another DVD player in the house the discs seem to freeze for a few seconds every couple of minutes,I have finalized the discs and they play no problem in the 5005.

Anyone else have the same problem,is it cheap disc`s, I shall try some others when I get to the shops, any hel would be great.

How much do Royal Mail charge to deliver a home cinema system .

Any rough idea as to this type of cost,I know it is to do with weight and size etc, it is your small supermarket type all in one box, any ideas please ?

I have a 5005 set up to recieve NTL digital and terrestial.

I just have the output scart from my digi box into the input of the 5005 and when you want to record just chose the scart as the input and set your digi box to the cnannel you wish to record.

How do twin digital home phones work ??

We need a new home cordless phone,we also have a orded phone in use upstairs,if I bought a twin type digital cordless phone pack,am I right in thinking that one phone (the base station) is plugged into the telephone system and into the mains ? and the other phone say for upstairs only needs to plug into the mains ?

This would be great as upstairs we do not have a phone socket in the bedroom.

As it is the same price for 2 sinngle phones would there be an advantage in doing it either way.

Any cheap Home Cinema Systems in the sales ?

Just yesterday my Mustek DVD-V600 R Home Cinema system stopped producing any sound,either from its own amplifier or through the TV.

We have a stack of new DVDs waiting to be watched,and not much cash left,so if anyone has seen a cheap cinema system under a £100 I would be interested to know.

Sound Packed up on my Mustek DVD-V600 R

As of Boxing day,and putting in a new Star Wars dvd to watch, I have no sound at all from my Mustek Home cinema system,the Dvd picture plays ok but with no sound,either from the built in amplifier or even through the TV.

I have checked and reset all the cables wires and settings but nothing comes out of the speakers,

I bought the machine from E-Buyer about 18 months ago,any ideas what I could do,I have emailed E-Buyer product support but I dont suppose there is anyone there,
I cant even just use the machine as a player as I still get no sound through the TV speakers,I have tried by using scart and the analogue out but still no sound.

Are there any cheap bargains out there in the sales ??

Would I allready have this version anyway,how would I know or find out ?

Can anyone give me some advice please, as many others I have a 5005b bought recently from Argos it is an August 2004 model.
I have not used it much yet but it all seems to be set up and working okay.

The real question is do I need to update the firmware yet ? is there anything new I would gain ?

It was a independant Asian £1 shop in Bolton, they also had the usual Poundland dvd`s
but has these 2 titles as well.

I have just got from a local £1 shop 2 dvds,both from the prism collection and would have been included when you bought one of those dvd pluss free film boxes.

1 dvd has 4 films on 2 discs,

Shawshank Redemption
Lawnmower Man
Human Traffic
Taxi

and second dvd has 1 disc with Strictly Ballroom and Carry on Doctor on it.

6 films for £2.

How low can they go !

I have just set up my 5005 and it seems great, tuned in ok,also recording fron NTL box ok.

I thought I would update the firmware,but I cant see on the setup screen the serial number as shown on the Lite-on download pages.

My machine is from Argos and is August 2004 manufacture,could anyone give me a clue as to what to do .

Just to say that my story was very close to your own,I am 47 and was married for 21 years,when the x wife said much the same things,I also attempted and tried to get her to change her mind but in the end we divorced. I also had 2 children,boys who stayed with their mother. We sold the house and I got a flat,she managed to get her own house.

All the feelings you have at the time,such as blaming yourself and what went wrong are all naturall as is the one about not trusting woman,but as everyone says life will go on,slowly and eventually you get yourself back together again and take all the positive things away with you, and yes all this happened about 8 years ago,and I am now remarried for neary Five years, my lads have grown up OK we have good relationships and I can even talk to the x okay.

So best of luck, you will get through it.

I maybe one of the few who a couple of years ago got a (free pc with the other offer).I did pay the £50 and then another £50, but at the ime the spec on the free pc was greater than I could upgrade too for the same price.
It was brand new out of the box(an Elonex system) and I owned it from day one ( a legal argument thing at the time).
After around 3 months the company went bust and the computer was mine,I still have it and consider a real bargain,and yes I have signed up and had the emails confirming this new offer,lets see how far we go....best of luck. ;)
