ha ha ha ha macrovision cgms!!!!!!!!!
I was not sure what was stopping me from backing up my films from tape or dvd to my stand alone dvd recorder E30 but the smart leads i s pro gold works on everything inc pay per view. it was about £60 from ktvision.
I have tried the macro master and it didn`t work amongst other devices so dont waste your money lads !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tried to make a bakup of each of my dvd/vhs films using panasonic E30 dvd recorder all i got was a "copy protected" message. Read various reviews and technical info and the out come was that i required a stabilising device that would allow a backup to be made.
I tried several devices video conditioner, video decoder, macro master, copymate and devices from maplins, lekktropacks, sonel, smartchipps, all of which i returned for a refund.
I bought a Smart Leads I.S.Pro Gold in december and it worked fine on about 90 % of my bought films, I contacted them in january and they had changed to an upgraded version which they exchanged for me for free.
It works 100 % so far and is just perfect. If you were going to buy one and you wanted an oppinion I would say its amazing, excellent quality, well manufactured, good value, shipping a bit slow (10 days), e-mail response a bit slow 3 days.

hi andy it was £60 ish +P&P its a scart lead, no other conections it powers its self.

i have had that before on normal broadcasts on my e30 dvd recorder its not macrovision as i have tried devices for the macrovision and they dont work there is only one new device which i have which works great i dont know if it is cgms it gets rid of as well as macro visio but it works.

it might be what i was suffering from but i bought a lead that got rid of the problem called a Smart leads I.S.Pro gold.
