dvd recorder backup solution..........

DR D.V.D (Harmless) posted this on Monday, 3rd February 2003, 16:16

This is the short version as my pc keeps crashing.
Tried to make a bakup of each of my dvd/vhs films using panasonic E30 dvd recorder all i got was a "copy protected" message. Read various reviews and technical info and the out come was that i required a stabilising device that would allow a backup to be made.
I tried several devices video conditioner, video decoder, macro master, copymate and devices from maplins, lekktropacks, sonel, smartchipps, all of which i returned for a refund.
I bought a Smart Leads I.S.Pro Gold in december and it worked fine on about 90 % of my bought films, I contacted them in january and they had changed to an upgraded version which they exchanged for me for free.
It works 100 % so far and is just perfect. If you were going to buy one and you wanted an oppinion I would say its amazing, excellent quality, well manufactured, good value, shipping a bit slow (10 days), e-mail response a bit slow 3 days. Im not sure weather i can say the commpany so e-mail me.

Basically you need a DVD player or an external device where you can disable CGMS/A. Macrovision is irrelevant....
